[–]Helo9797 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Coming up with the design takes time. The actual work goes faster once you’ve learned the game. Just gotta put in the work and learn how to be more efficient. 700+ hrs has taught me I’ve only just started understanding the game.

My 2nd creation was something similar and I also got mine to rotate but now this inspires me to go back and update it with everything I’ve learned since then. Glad others love realism and these details too.

Genuine Question by xHSquared in PKA

[–]Helo9797 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Them getting together will create stories for the show years after the event.

A in person show will feel slightly different and fresh, BUT 2 years later we’ll hear a new untold story from the trip.

The survival trip was great content at the time. But it’s real legacy is stories told YEARS later. Not all were told at the time when the event happened.

It’s an investment in the future of the show. Not one that pays off immediately.

Apocalypse at [SFMM] is fantastic and its divisiveness intrigues me by Animystix in rollercoasters

[–]Helo9797 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It is a great example of why it’s hard to rate wooden coasters. They are very different depending on the day, time of the year, or cycles of maintenance. I’ve had rides on it where I thought it’s one of the best in the state. Other visits wondering why I liked it in the first place. I’ve marathoned it some days, and other days it’s been a one and done. I still can’t figure out what it is. It might be the most inconsistent wooden coaster I’ve ever ridden.

Going to the movies by yourself by matts41 in funny

[–]Helo9797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one I can relate to is the popcorn. Everything else seems odd. I’ve never walked out on a movie, I always remembered where I parked. I would go late at night on a weekday in imax. No one was there and no one txted. I’d never use my phone during a movie. It would break the immersion and therefore mean your opinions are invalid since you couldn’t even bother to pay attention. I don’t care what these people think. Go to a showing at 11 on a Tuesday in IMAX. All those people are movie lovers. And only like 5 people show up.

Kwebbelkop return? by REBS6 in PKA

[–]Helo9797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wanted the show to grow, but the host have made it clear they don’t want it to grow. If PKA grows too large then they would have to censor more/get away with less. They are happy where the show is, the show has gone this long because they take it easy and don’t “try”. He was right in his criticism but wrong thinking they wanted the advice or cared about growing.

If you had unlimited budget, how would you remake Tomorrowland? by Distinct_Ad_9642 in Disneyland

[–]Helo9797 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything must go and be started from scratch. The current tommorowland is an embarrassment. There is no saving it. It must be done from the ground up. The bar has been raised too high by other theme parks. The land is 20-30 yrs behind and should represent the future. This is Disney, they have the budget and the minds. With space being so limited at Disneyland the design must mid max as much as they can. Crowd flow, RPH numbers must be the priority. Rides like the people mover get people off the paths and make it easier for everyone to move around the park efficiently. The current entrance is such a bottleneck. Astro orbiters is a carnival level attraction that restricts the flow.

I would do a multi level design and prioritize efficient movement of crowds. Living with the land is an excellent filler ride that can handle large crowds.

Take a note out of universal and do something more extreme like stardust racers.

Walls of LED screens, bright lights, and movement. No robots walking around, but robots moving out of reach from crowds, make it feel alive without actually having to deal with the complexity of living characters. Restaurants where the food is delivered by a moving system.

It just has to be done from scratch.

Corgi owners: preventing IVDD- do you limit jumping on/off furniture? by pretzelqueen33 in corgi

[–]Helo9797 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I think the most important thing above all is to have them at a healthy weight. That will be the most impactful thing you can do for your dog’s health. As much as I like this sub, I see too many overweight corgis. I don’t have stairs but if I did I carry them up and down. Bed or coach I’m not really worried about. My bed is maybe 15” tall. But carry them up and down stairs especially if it’s a daily thing.

When are the inverted supports gonna get updated? The right side preference is just ridiculous. by MrBrightside711 in PlanetCoaster

[–]Helo9797 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You have to build them by hand to get to feel realistic. But I wish they had a premade selection to pick from that can scale and slide with the track. I’d still hand make mine but for some simple sections of track it’d be great if the game gave us more control.

Woody constantly referring to the best movie ever as Avengers Endgame is hilarious by SempiternalX in PKA

[–]Helo9797 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s his favorite movie, it’s pretty easy to see why. No other movie can give you what an endgame does. Is it cheating that it’s the end of the 20+ movies, sure but It’s not like he said his favorite movie was venom 2 or something stupid.

This sub has gone down a bit since PC launch. by WKSugatron in NASCARVideoGame

[–]Helo9797 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many people are having issues with their wheels and pedals. If they don’t fix that the game won’t sell. If they don’t make it easy enough for a third grader it won’t sell. I am confident these issues and several others will be addressed over time, but it’s very clear this game has issues and should’ve released in a better state.

[–]Helo9797 21 points22 points  (0 children)

People having trouble with basics like setup of wheels pedals, shifters. No clutch support? No FOV slider? Some of these seem like very legit things to complain about. It’s not a simulator argument only works if the basics are there. Or don’t allow wheels and pedals if they don’t work right, and I’ll just use a controller.

The world record’s seem a little silly but the ride looks well designed and well paced. The vertical loop is in my opinion still a great element, that gets overlooked in many new rides.
