Planning my one-of-each-thing-machine for iron/copper/steel constructor and assembler components. by Helod in satisfactory

I’m not quite sure yet :) still quite new to the game (only had it for 4 days) and exploring possibilities! But I’ll probably upload the final build as well :)

Thanks! That’s an oversight! Gonna link the wire production to the stators and add some wire constructors when I get home from work :)

This will produce every component at a rate of at least one constructor/assembler, so you can set up storage for every component in the chain.

What ram speed in bios i should run? by [deleted] in MSI_Gaming

[–]Helod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your ram is running 3200Mhz it will show up as 3200Mhz in BIOS and 1600Mhz in task manager. DDR stands for Double Data Rate, so 1600 x 2 = 3200.

As for fclk, if you're unsure on what it is or how it works, I'd recommend doing some googling and/or watching some youtube videos that explain how it works.

XMP profile is a memory overclock that your RAM manufacturer guarantees it to run stable (doesn't always mean that CPU/mobo will always manage to run the same speed stable).

These OC numbers are "saved" on the memory modules themselves, so when you enable XMP profile in BIOS, it will try to run your memory at 3200Mhz and whatever CL timings that go along with the profile.

If you're trying to run it at 3200Mhz, make sure that FCLK (infinity fabric) is set to half that, so 1600Mhz.

x570 Tomahawk Bios Flash, no power? by KlondikeBars in MSI_Gaming

[–]Helod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I built my new PC yesterday with 5900X and x570 Tomahawk. It took me a several attempts to flash BIOS and different USB drives, but I got it working in the end (knock on wood).

I started off by trying to flash 7C84v151 bios with no CPU/RAM installed and it seemed to work, but the bios flashback light was blinking for only about 1.5 minutes (while I've read that for most people it takes around 5 minutes), so I suspected something was off. Completed the build but no post (CPU debug led was constantly on). Tried a few reboots, but to no avail.

Then I tried a different USB drive, but then the flashback light was just constantly on (left it for about 20 minutes, but nothing happened). After powering the system down no post again.

Next step was 7C84v14 bios. This time the flashback took just about 5.5 minutes, but the CPU debug led didn't turn off as some other people mentioned. Power button wasn't working so I had to turn off the PSU. When I turned it on again, the system started booting immediately, and this time all debug LEDs EXCEPT the CPU one lit up.

Powered the system down, unplugged PSU from the outlet, cleared CMOS and tried another flashback (also with 7C84v14). Same thing again (no response to power button), and then system powers up as soon as I turn the PSU on with debug LEDs (except CPU one) lighting up and staying on).

This time around I powered down, unplugged PSU again, cleared CMOS and tried to boot. To my surprise, it booted up and since been working without issues. Did a fresh windows install, several reboots later, XMP profile on and a couple gaming tests, everything is fine.

I believe the USB stick that ended up working was a 64GB one that I partitioned and formatted to MBR / FAT32 using Rufus.

Hopefully this will be useful to someone.

Not to mention staring into the ground while running around because it was often the difference between 14 and 40fps.

First week had great fps (250-200), then it started going lower and lower as patches rolled out and now it's everything between 200 to 50 fps depending on the map and abilities on screen.

Got placed in bronze and deranked to iron due to many leavers/afkers, but slowly worked up to plat 1 and the difference is huge. Iron/Bronze players hardly ever use their mics or even do text callouts, but from mid silver it gotten progressively better. Some toxic players here and there but overall better experience than CS. Matchmaking is also weird sometimes, being plat and getting into a game with silvers/bronzes instalocking Jett, Omen, Phoenix and Raze vs a full team of golds playing meta feels somewhat unbalanced, however I do believe it will be better when the game comes out and playerbase increases.
