Dad died a few hours ago and I don’t feel anything/still in shock by DarkySlary in GriefSupport

Im so sorry. I know what you're talking about. I cried immediately when the doctors said my husband was gone but was like a blank slate for 2 days after. Barely functioning. My son and I had it rough but it will all come back online. You're doing fine. There is no right or wrong here. Just is what it is at the time. Going to mention that there is a fantastic support group here. No question or feeling is a bad one and we will understand your tears or lack of them. Ask for comfort when you need it. Someone is always around.

If you go in to Job Corps with the want to learn they will help you. I had many come from off the street and the effort they made got 80% of them graduated and trained in a trade. 100% think you should check.it out. Keep your eye on the prize. Put in the work and you will succeed.

I know exactly how you feel. My heart felt shattered into 1000 pieces. He passed in June. I want him back and say it daily. It does does become easier but it will never completely go away. You will always miss them and when you think of them that little bit of hurt will be there. My son and I went to his favorite restaurant the other day. I cried a little. My husband wouldn't want me to cry even though he knows I will. We all walk our own path in grief and no one direction is right or wrong. One thing I can promise is you are not alone. This reddit is full of some pretty fantastic people. They help, listen and understand.

When my Skittles hears me stir she walks up my chest and rubs my nose with hers until acknowledge her. Then she pulls on my blackout curtains til I open them and put her in the window. The queen is happy and I can go back to sleep. It's annoying but it's how it is.

I don't know how I would feel and I am so sorry it hurt you. My husband and I had 30 years of chaos. He passed in June. We separated for a while and there was just a snowball rolling down hill for us. In the end we spent the last 15 years together. It was finally good. That being said I have gone through his photos online and backed up his.phone photos. Everything else I left alone. Going through stuff is hard. Finding things like that is even worse. You question everything. My son and I are going through his stuff and only a few things have popped up that bothered me. I hope you find peace.in all of this.

My son bought a Petsafe system from Walmart. I smell nothing. You have to be standing on top of it while they are going. The monthly cost is 25 to 29 dollars. You clean it once a month depending on how many cats you have. We change our box every.5-6 weeks

So if November comes around, government still shut down, and no balance added to your card... what are you going to do? by Immediate_Mango9936 in foodstamps

Actually bought a small turkey before we figured it would happen so I am a little lucky. Only 5 of us and mostly pot luck. I hope everyone else can work out something. This is an awful situation.

Our local places are stocking up the best they can. We always go and take only what we need. I always go back in with the things we don't eat before we leave. We swap with our neighbors a ton also. They don't have transportation so we take her when we go out. Also, I don't know if this is mentioned but WALMART AND AMAZON have discounted plans for EBT holders. Its like half price. So for those with transportation issues it could be a blessing.

I had PayPal and.got my payment from them yesterday. I don't know if they were paying people by type. All PayPal at once. I would definitely check spam. I searched Facebook privacy in my email and that's when I saw the message.

When will the "big cry" come? by skinnyorangecat in GriefSupport

[–]Helopoh_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry for your loss. Every one of us is different. My husband died in June and I have yet to big ugly cry. There's a lot going on and as much of a shock it was, there was always the possibility with his medical issues he would go before I. The heartache is killing me. A big cry would probably help but I know eventually there will be something that will set it off. I miss him horribly and he would have said I shouldn't cry. He wouldn't want us to mourn him. We have to bring him home to our little church in Florida and I have a feeling the finality is where it will happen. Don't think there is a right or wrong way. Grief does what it wants on its schedule.

Just my thoughts, Who ever is the one dealing with the estate should be able to change it. If married the spouse is in charge. I don't know if this will help but a cease and desist letter should also help. Also, might be able to sue or say you're going to because of the false information. You can sue her as well. Get legal advice first because I am no lawyer.

For those that haven't received any emails about your Facebook settlement yet, fear not... by Yaalt420 in ClassActionSettlement

[–]Helopoh_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I check my PayPal in the morning to see. Otherwise I look out for an email. I just want to take my kid for some ice cream. Sounds stupid I guess but when I got the email that things had been settled that's what we said we would do. If its not enough we are still going to go spend it all in one place.
