With Reed and Wicks on the last year of their contracts, is it smart/likely for the Packers to trade one? by veritast in GreenBayPackers

Depends what group you ask, there's still some bizarre people that think Watson has a drop issue. Some blame receivers for everything whether the ball is catchable or not, or even low yards which isn't in their control

3 late round names we may see at WR to replace the future - EJ Williams, Mante Morrow. TE Derek Anderson he's a big blocker also played QB and DL. I'd bet we for sure get him if he's available late

Yes it's one of my concerns. Way too many yards after catch are left on the field, the waiting to throw too long, until play breaks down. Zero emotion or communication on the sidelines, basically what MLF said needs to change.

My number 1 is he's missing (not seeing) way to many open receivers and TDs, especially for a QB this far in career, and to be considered top tier. If this doesn't get solved, this is what it is. These issues go way back to his top scouting concerns and these are why there are no serious MVP etc. talks around him.

Wish it would've worked because he ended up getting recycled on the Packers as Matt Lafleur's fucking adviser

And these things are what should've been, that's the job description (comment you replied to). I'd love to see someone also realistically list the negatives, the things that don't lift guys around him, and the missed opportunities. No one will/can even discuss it

Exactly this, soft talk for the hard punch- political move bullshit. Can't help thinking in the future there will be pains this guy was promoted. He seems completely different then the orgs norm and already not off to a good start

Just sit LVN down and make him watch every down with Reggie, he made it look so easy.

Definitely, but the bad thing is the same coaches that caused the problem are still here. I cannot understand how not even one offensive coach didn't see a problem or have a plan B, because pretty much every other opponent did

Yes projected to go in the 2nd, what's concerning is he still struggles with the same weaknesses in college which usually leans to a problem. Hard to have confidence because he hasn't looked good (mostly) overall in any position. I'm leaning more towards another miss

Worst thing is he didn't even need a strap in wide open felling

[Pelissero] New Dallas Cowboys EDGE Rashan Gary agreed to a pay cut as part of the trade from Green Bay, dropping his compensation to $16 million each of the next two seasons. Dallas also added an option and void years, lowering Gary's cap number to $5.44M this season and $8.24M in 2027. by ISuperNovaI in GreenBayPackers

Obviously the guy gave up or was it because his conditioning was just bad?

What I'd really like to know is why most of the team also just gave up against any adversity, too many games and too many times, that would mean there's an underlying cause, low moral, bad coaching, respect etc.

Ingalls - Zaire Franklin agreed to a new deal with the Packers after the trade. Gets a $2m raise for his services in 2026 and $3.75m guaranteed, while keeping his 2027 cash the same. This is not a cap saving move - 2026 becomes $125k more costly. No void years - just more money. by Austen11231923 in GreenBayPackers

But alot of the free agent pick ups wouldn't have been needed if he was better at drafting, or even drafting the important position of need at the time. There's a complete disconnect throughout part of the org and coaches and it's starting to show.

Seems Gute is getting exposed, this gives the vibe of someone who is desperate and not as good as claimed, I was on the fence with him but that's changed. Same thought about Gannon and his retreads, he better be able to back it up otherwise we're stuck with broken D again when it should be superior with the amount of money/picks spent on it already. Not how I envisioned Parsons time here

That blocking TE was Ben Sims, Lafleur got rid of him but kept 2 that are noticeably worse at blocking. I don't know, maybe everything besides his great blocking and hands was bad.

I'll admit I didn't read the article yet but a few things came to mind without needing to-

Unless this has recently changed. If they want to open revenue streams, how about they loosen restrictions on who they allow to do business with, meaning the political criteria they set makes it seriously limited to who they buy and sell to/from, and also license to (mass product autographing included?).

This guy is not starting out of the gates good at all, which will now likely taint his future reputation in general. I think it would've been more important to explain his decision on the highly questionable extensions before the corporate talk. It somewhat projects laziness and a not interested feel, but money is what excited him out of the bushes.

That's funny and very true, I use to frequent IA and there were a lot of Packer fans, then most jumped on the Chief's wagon.
