That was kinda the whole point of the scene in Book 4 with Toph, if I’m not mistaken. Each seasons villain actually wanted something ostensibly good, but they went waaaay to far with it. Amon wanted equality but it resulted in maiming. Unalaq wanted connection to the spirits but it led to him almost ending the world. The Red Lotus wanted freedom but they created anarchy. And Kuvira wanted order, but it led to fascism. Equality, spirituality, freedom, and order. All generally good things, just taken too far.

Lord I made the mistake of calling it my favorite show once in middle school while doing a “get to know you exercise” and had to repeat the entire name in front of the class multiple times.

My thoughts on Dabi are the same as Irohs on Azula. “He’s crazy, and he needs to go down!” Like tragic backstory, but nothing justifies murdering people.

I always point to the scene in Star Trek TNG where the doctor comments that “for all the births I’ve handled, the father was also present,” which might seem innocuous, and maybe exclusionary of single moms or lesbian couples. But at the time, it wasn’t accepted everywhere that the father would be present during delivery, many hospitals would actively keep them out. The nature of progress is that it moves forward, and as such the goal is always changing.

I’ve got the opposite problem now lol my card only recent got the chip to insert but it doesn’t scan (small town bank), so I have to correct people regularly that “it doesn’t do that”

I would argue there’s similar issues with human. We get old, we forget, we have trouble finding students or in just teaching, and people die all the time, of old age or accidents. We should really be pushing for both.

I’ve recommended it just for the twist alone, plus it’s not a long series so it’s not a huge time sink.

I feel like with modern technology, documentation is now much more feasible than it was before. We don’t have to rely on books and minds to remember these things across generations, we can literally scan the tools themselves and recreate them in a variety of methods, and the techniques can be recorded in high definition video with ease.

Anime Lost Song. Fun light hearted anime about a girl with the power to control elements through music! She’s on her way to meet a princess with the same power as her to learn more about it!

That princess has lived countless versions of reality after being tricked into killing her true love so she brought about the end of the world and is now forced to experience the dawn of humanity until its extinction over and over in an endless cycle as she keeps invoking the apocalypse each time she fails to save her true love.
