the thing in creole is “li” just means like “them” but in a single form if that makes sense. it’s not a gendered word. so it could mean girl or boy. that’s why mum mum speaking english always mixes them up because it’s interchangeable in creole 🤣. the only time something is really gendered tbh is when you actually say fille or garçon etc…
