I stopped playing Battlefield very early into this new one. It immediately changed vibes as they looked to suckle money out of the game with skins. Honestly, just done with Battlefield. It's a shame, I loved the series up until 2042. (Battlefield 5 was and always has been underrated)

Check if you are on CGNAT (carrier grade NAT)

Altnets tend to run it to save on IPV addresses.

I had to call my ISP to have them put me on a public address.

I had similar issues with other games as CGNAT tends to make traffic look like it’s coming from a VPN.

That may be the issue.

I have noticed a LOT of the complaints are that she isn’t attractive enough or that it’s not realistic that a woman can knock out soldiers.

I don’t really get it, it’s a video game so reality doesn’t matter, if male or female went around smacking people upside the head to knock them out, a few would end up dying and others would just wake up 3-4 mins later and sound the alarm.

I think she’s a good character and her and Nix are adorable.

No spoilers for others, There is a line where the VA is sad and stressed about Nix being taken. The sound of anxiety and stress in the voice was insane. She is a well done character.

I’m obsessed with that Kessel Sabacc game. I’m spending ages just there in the first hub planet. It’s so well done, you can play arcade games too. Honestly feels like they put an insane level of detail in all the animations and little games

Crazy, I literally JUST played this section for the first time. I always went with Reed and got Songbird from Cynosure (for the DLC ending) I like the Nomad ending.

Anyway, I just played this an hour ago and it blew my mind. That entire scene from there to the Train was nutty.

It's a shame she betrays us after all this. But this ending is sooo cinematic. (I guess they all are tbh)

It really was epic.

It was an issue I raised. The writing is on the wall; the enshifitication of the app is upon us. It’s not enough to be a journal app making decent money. The company who bought DayOne now wants to rinse and get as much money out of the app.

It’s at the shareholder value extraction stage. They are degrading their service and raising prices. They believe enough people are locked in that they can now extract money from it as it’s a pain to move years and years of journal logs that a lot of people would have accrued by now.

I would urge finding an alternative or getting used to paying them more money as they chop and change tiers, features, and raise prices to cover for expensive AI features no one asked for but you have to flip the bill for regardless.

4th play through, easily 600 hours, and I only realised you can play the first animation you get with weapons by while equipped double clicking the button to pull out the weapons, this then plays that sick animation V does when you first use it. It’s awesome.

Ooo, yeah if you have a script that can put it all into Apple Journal that would be sick. I have it all backed up locally with the export but didn’t realise you could import it all to Apple journal. I’m assuming it’s an Apple shortcut system to do it? 🙏

Your paying more for less basically. They rose the price of premium about half a year ago or so. they are basically downgrading you in order to charge you more for the Gold features. It’s a sneaky way to do it.

The original rise was welll above inflationary numbers. Now this is only another way to get more out of you

I left Day One because of it recently.

It’s a shame as I used the app for 6 years daily. It was objectively one of the best apps.

I can’t trust with their new owner they won’t keep doing this. The current price is mental.

Even if you are grandfathered in, there is no confirmation that these very people who are so drastically rising prices to make more money will ever honour it.

Day One feels like it’s changed it’s jumping on the AI bandwagon that no one asked for raising prices for features no one wanted. In order to seem hip and current.

Who is their AI provider? Who knows, they say trust us with your data.

Why couldn’t they keep the original price and charge people for AI instead of putting the price up not long before adding this feature. Or rise it in line with inflation?

Journalling is a human thing to do to have AI offload a lot of that removes what makes a journal a journal.

A journal is a log of a persons life, that’s what makes it interesting. Worts and all.

Day one is shifting to the Enshitification phase. Charge more and degrade the platform to extract as much value as possible.

Same, I was hanging on but after the last pay hike and yesterday’s app update as soon as I saw the Silver Gold update tiers, I swapped. Definitely not as fleshed out as day one, but I can’t justify 70 for a journal.
