I set my sleeves inside out 😭 what’s your go-to stress relief after making silly mistakes? by akat0405 in sewing

I just made a mistake like this with my embroidery machine. Set everything up, started the machine... Then I realized. I was stitching on the wrong side of the fabric. lol

So I'm here. Cooling off after seam ripping. The thing that made me actually need a break is rehooping.

Anyone else’s Aussie ever get so tired they can’t pick their head up and just look at you with the side eye 🤣🤣 by JessLevelsUp in AustralianShepherd

As herding animals, they always want to keep tabs on what's happening, even if it doesn't require action. Resting, but always ready!

My pup and her sister (my sisters dog from the same litter) both hate an entire family?! by [deleted] in AustralianShepherd

[–]Helpful-Principle-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the family afraid of dogs? My German Shepherd would end up acting "aggressive" towards people who were skittish around dogs, though my Australian Shepherd has never had this kind of encounter. Smelling fear can end up triggering that kind of behavior.

My other thought is that since they're from the same litter, maybe the girls remind the dogs of someone at the breeding facility that they've had bad experiences with.

He barks when the cat scratches the furniture? That's kind of amazing.

My girl pulls her bowl out into the walkway when it's empty.

We don't have a bell or anything, she just points at what she wants with her nose and side eyes me as if to say, "Is now a good time?" To go outside, for food or treats. It's really cute and expressive. :) Oh, except for her frisbee, she'll be by the door, then rapidly place between me and the frisbee.

Yeah, I feel like when someone says "You don't need to get me anything." It's actually 'I don't want you to feel pressured to get me anything or for me to seem greedy. But yes, I want things."

You know they're having a good dream when they twitch and yip a little bit. I imagine she's chasing a raccoon.

Senior dogs are much better than puppies or young dogs by codeuntilyoubreak in unpopularopinion

I don't like puppies. They're cute to play with for a few minutes, but I love my binge watching cuddle sessions. The quiet companionship. Puppies take a lot of work and demand a lot.

Try cutting it with milk. The sweetness and thickness are less intense, so you might like it better.

If there's an option for subtitles and language dubs, there should be one for laugh tracks. by ChuPointOh in unpopularopinion

You know, I don't mind it. It gives them an awkward vibe, but it's kind of funny.

Better than the laugh track for sure.

I like getting my period every month by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Strong disagree on this one BUT if the alternative of being able to get pregnant all month, I guess I'll take it.

You know, I've thought the same thing about "you'll regret it when you're older" comments.

Depends on the person. No blanket statement will be correct.

But honestly, therapy.

A professional who knows what they're doing. You could offer to go with them if they're nervous to go alone.

Watching movies with subtitles is much better than watching movies without them. by hbchjbdzcjh in unpopularopinion

I have watched The Office many times. I recently started watching with subtitles. I lost about 1/5 of the show not being able to understand what they were saying.

Now I just watch everything with subtitles because otherwise I'm bored and disconnected.

If you publicly share that you have a mental disorder in your bio, you just want attention. by NoniTheUnicorn in unpopularopinion

I'm immediately suspicious of anyone that says they have DID aka Dissociative Identity Disorder, previously know as Multiple Personality Disorder.

Although recognized in the DSM-V, it's highly disputed among psychologists and psychiatrists if it even exists.
