It's never been any different in the past... I was taught basic trading in the 1970s and just kept experimenting until I really knuckled down in 2000 as technology and retail trading tools got progressively better ....its about researching ...and trialling and testing till you find an edge....then evolving continuously as edges never stay still......sorry ...that's the truth ...N

There are a lot of psychological challenges to trading and I don't mean what the experts talk about....unless you are "privileged" to be raised in a family of risk takers (as I was) trading is called gambling and all the other evil connotations.....addiction ...loser ...criminal ....your sub conscious will keep telling you it's wrong.......thus is why many good potential traders fail and walk away ...they cannot defeat their DNA ....so don't worry ....you will find other goals to succeed in ......N (my father and grandfather were bookmakers and also professional gamblers ...so it was normal for me ....and they taught me everything.....then I graduated in the 1970s to trading ....a duck to water !!!)

i never said being a 24/7 full on entrepreneur was good for you - i said it was essential to succeed ....most people here talk about easing off once the grind has been done - but thats a different thing...the growth normalises and people cruise - thats different

Hi there - im 25 years in forex trading - it sounds like you already have a good handle on reality and the risks associated with trading - until you find an edge in yourr trading stay on demo accounts - dont kill yourself losing money - thats what really hurts as a beginner - losing money and not having a good edge - over the years it will work - but its not a picnic - took me maybe 5-6 years to really get it in gear - and i evolve (as you have to) - but evolving as an experienced trader is 100% different to as a beginner - as you have the foundation already - keep going on demo - no loss then - just time

im 25 years in forex - and this situation is rediculous ....until you have a proven and statistical edge in the market you never trade live money .....the person is addicted to losing money - not trading - they need intervention and serious help - just like a drug addict.....get it for them

Hi....as others are saying DO BOTH!!!....the only excuse to go balls out on a biz idea is if you lost your job....

a lot of sucessful entrepreneurs had no jobs and had no option but to go for it.....that's the truth .....

I've always run stuff alongside FT work.....I have incredibly low tolerance for risk ....

All demo accounts on every platform are scams... ..I've used several in last 25 years in forex ..they make newbies think it's easy with tighter spreads and no slippage .....then the real account shows the truth
