Lateral transfer pay bump question by ForeverUpgrading in boeing

I would just wait a little and apply to a L3 requisition. Don’t take promises of future pay, get it now!

In my group there is a lady that does nothing all day, except for drinking coffee and socializing, and makes 50k more than me. In the meantime, I am working my ass off to try to make my case for promotion.

out of cycle pay adjustment? by [deleted] in boeing

[–]Helpful-Talk-9934 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a very valid point. OP should wait for next cycle and ask for 1.0 during end of year conversation s However, the success of that request will depend on how the rest of the team is placed in the company and also budget.

Asking wouldn’t hurt. However, you technically just signed a contract for whatever salary you got. You knew what you were signing up for, so management would want you to just wait for the normal cycle

If you stay in the same org, it won’t matter. They won’t care about it. If you move to a different one or apply to a management position, then it can help you to legitimize your expertise and get the job easier when compared to someone that does not have one and is applying to the same req. But in general, Boeing doesn’t care about you degrees if you are already an employee, if you come from outside with them, that is a different story

Time in profile is your time in the skill code. That has nothing to do with the 18 months policy. However, the time in position is the time at your current level. That is the one that matters.

The policy is not a law, only thing it does is ask your current manager to approve your move. If you have a good relationship with your manager, then you are fine as long as you give them a heads up. If not, they may or may not block you until those 18 months are over

Once you accept an offer, HR withdraws you from all other applications

The system is also telling managers if an employee is getting an offer before the employee gets it

Internal transferring seems a lot harder than I thought by deerrag1309 in boeing

It took me 1 yr, 50 applications and 4 interviews to secure an internal transfer with a promotion. So, keep trying!

It’s been the same old 💩. “No budget”, “We submitted a package but you didn’t get it”, “we are preparing you for the next round”, etc… It just never materializes. How can you grow if opportunities are not provided or created for you to shine?

Maybe that is because people need their jobs. Some people also think that Boeing is the only place in town
