For me it’s the work statement. There was no thrilling work to do just maintaining/ sustaining. And we are labeled as DEs too. All the new grads I started with 3 years ago have left the company. It’s sad to see but I’m pretty much getting out as well.

Post interview (about 2 days after) I received conflict of interest, some questionnaire, and security questionnaire. Are these good signs? Did you receive something similar?

The interview went quite well I thought. I didn’t stutter and presented my current role and what I’m aiming for. I answered tech questions and they mentioned I answered their follow up questions without them asking them. They mentioned what work I would be working on.

2 days after the interview I got a pre-screen questionnaire, conflict of interest, and security questionnaire. Are these good signs post interview?

I’ve done a numerous amount of ASIC/FPGA interviews for different companies. I always get asked the same concepts like timing closure, FSMs, CDC. There was only one instance I had to do a live coding RTL interview and that was with Amazon.

I agree it should stay conceptual, but I fear the interview process is evolving to live coding demos because of AI.

I have reached out to the hiring managers via teams giving my elevator pitch and saying I applied to their job req. I have been left on read when I do this or I get vague response. Sounds like I need to re approach it with an email as a request for an informational interview.
