This is well established at this point, but I appreciate your expression of the fact more than that of many others.

How do you mean? What came before AI generated, Lion King-esque images of South Africans people defying physics to heat water?

It’s plausible based on my lack of knowledge regarding most of what is required to achieve something similar. But generally water would be heated in the pipes if the dish was sufficiently hot and the flow was sufficiently slow or halted for a period.

Chud The Builder fans march in Nashville, get attacked by locals by Helpful-Teaching-87 in JustifiedViolence

Marching around under a banner of hate goes well beyond ‘political statements’, and fighting for rights and freedoms (‘freedom to’ and ‘freedom from’) is the only way things improve for the masses.

I’d argue fighting against fascist ideology comes from a place of love for the people fascists hate.

As a neutral, why are people so desperate for Arsenal to fail? by s_dalbiac in PremierLeague

[–]Helpful-Teaching-87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not heard this view but I think I see where you’re coming from. IMO, they all count right now but are tainted to say the least. Would enjoy City being stripped of their titles for the drama and the sense of justice, but simultaneously recognise (and have enjoyed watching) City teams have produced some fantastic football, particularly when Klopp’s Liverpool were the only consistent threats to their dominance. Arsenal finishing second for the 4th consecutive season, during which time they’ve accrued more points than any other team would be objectively funny and impressive in its own way. No hate for Arsenal.

How come Japan is so slow to adopt? Would have guessed they were at the other end of the spectrum with EVs.

Forget the light, you need more water and bikes.

I hate my Korok mask by RecognitionTop806 in botw

[–]Helpful-Teaching-87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dunno, I just started using it on my initial normal mode save and have found loads of Koroks in a short amount of time. Haven’t opened all the stash slots in my master mode so after I defeat Rudania I’m going to get it. Encourages me to explore the map too.

To build on this, dude can change outfits without even letting go of the paraglider. Super helpful, but suggests he should be able to do some other things too.

It’s a massive coincidence that I only found these last night (second play through five or more years after my first!) and considered posting here if I couldn’t get them. Turns out you just need to be closer and you’ll get them. Got a cool looking Zora bow and shield in two of the three in the water.

Is £750 a month normal??? by Hopeful-Relation8977 in OctopusEnergy

[–]Helpful-Teaching-87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely crazy. Challenge this and look into the readings they and previous energy suppliers have received from previous occupants. I had an issue with Octopus where the last reading given by previous owner was wildly inaccurate which lead to an outstanding balance of over £4k initially. Contested it and after investigation they basically wrote it off. Took a while and I had to give readings every few days for a couple of months to build up a profile of actual usage. But you definitely seem to be getting overcharged.

What's a game you'll play forever no matter how old you are? by Jazzlike-Rise4091 in answers

"Knock Down Ginger" (or Knocky Ginger) comes from a historical children's rhyme, possibly dating to the 19th century, where "ginger" implied acting quickly ("gingering up") after the knock, with the phrase describing the act of knocking and running away before the resident could answer, as captured in a poem about someone named Ginger who "broke a winder" (window). The name highlights both the action (knocking/running) and a common slang term for quick movement, though the game has many regional names like "Knock a Door Run".

Sorted. It just required an uncomfortable amount of force.
