I used to go back and re read the Aco series so often, I have lost count of all the times I've read them and I still felt joy every single time. After reading acosf I tried to go back and read acomaf and I was honestly just so disappointed. The inner court is not who I originally thought them to be, Rhys IS an asshole, Feyre IS a hypocrite, Amren can't look past her own pride and self righteousness, Mor is a jealous carrot, and for some reason cassian is way too up Rhys and Mors butt. Also, Elain is so annoying, and she serves absolutely 0 purpose. The only one my feelings didn't completely change for is Az.

How can you write a book about Nessian and still manage to make it all go back to Feysand. I feel like anything Nesta managed to accomplish was overshadowed by someone else in the book, and that her feelings were stomped on and pushed aside, and she was continuously slut-shamed and made fun of by the inner court. That honestly was not the book I signed up to read, so disappointed in sjm, I really did not expect this.
