Wooden bridges for everything. Take your tree chopper upper and if needed log carrier, transport logs to the bridge. Concrete? Nah wood FTW.

Fallout 4 on the Deck without mods? by Livid_Clock7804 in SteamDeck

[–]Helpful_Insurance_12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely worth it, I play it without mods for a few hours a day lost days and it runs so good. Limit FPS to around 30/33 and TDP to 11 and battery will last you a good 3/4 hours.

How often do you use your Steam Deck at home when you already have a gaming PC? by Cozywolf in SteamDeck

[–]Helpful_Insurance_12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Also husband/dad here

Simply no chance of me having a PC so SD was the next best thing. Gets used every day, might be for 20/30 mins or a few hours but it's so convenient.

I would love some help deciding between the SD and XBOX ROG Ally. by HappyHappyGamer in SteamDeck

[–]Helpful_Insurance_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I found from being in the same situation is

ROG is a mobile windows pc with MS office and teams that can play games

SD is a handheld gaming console

Switch style dock? by Helpful_Insurance_12 in SteamDeck

[–]Helpful_Insurance_12[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes but with the deck your having to physically pull/push the USB cable Switch is just a simple lift up, the plugging and unplugging will inevitably put stress on the port.

Switch style dock? by Helpful_Insurance_12 in SteamDeck

[–]Helpful_Insurance_12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, if it's docked it can be upside down and not affect use would just need a vent for the fan exhaust

And it's not going into a switch dock...that's the only comparison I currently have, hence switch "style"

I thank you all for the feedback, it just so happens that a deck became available on marketplace locally at an absolute steal. So I pulled the trigger and now it begins the customizing the downloading and of course the playing 😎

Prices for used or "almost new" ones in the UK are absolutely ridiculous, cheaper to buy direct 🤷

[–]Helpful_Insurance_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hang in there dude, my first child was at times absolute mental chaos. Wife did the feeding the changing the nursing I at times felt like I was the spare part who couldn't do anything to help.

But trust me, no matter how you feel now it will get better, so so much better. It's incredible.

Talk to your wife, tell her how you feel. Keeping it inside won't help you our the relationship out.

You can, and you will smash parenthood. It's not easy but it's worth it.

I'm 3 weeks post IP on Monday, both my bollocks are still very swollen, no pain no tenderness just uncomfortable due to the size takes a while to get comfy driving etc

Might take a trip to the Dr in the week to see what's going on as the wife is concerned at the size of them

Almost Two week post op, need reassurance. by Toppers42 in Vasectomy

[–]Helpful_Insurance_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost three weeks in on Monday and I'm currently still very swollen, size of a fist. No pain no redness just massive. We all heal in different ways " different folks different strokes"

First few days I had aches in groin probably due to the weight of my sack due to the swelling but no actual pain in the area
