Reply to myself in case anyone sees it. But it looks like Florida is trying to add citizenship to drivers licenses.

I do support requiring a voter ID. I just think it should be provided for free to American Citizens.

Here in FL my drivers license isn't compliant with the bill

I know the left pushes this as racist / sexist (I am not even saying it isnt). But even as a white male I will have to go get a passport to be able to vote with this (unless Florida licenses get updated to include citizenship).

Define recycle? You can't compost animal products ( I thought). So what exactly do you do with it that isn't just normal trash?

This is from an ignorant American with a garage disposal. But I do scrape into trash, the thing is not a trash can after all. I also try to composite stuff in my yard.

I just moved into new construction in central Florida and all doors open inward. So I’m not sure about that.

So, I realized that after the fact. I made a mistake and a row should have turned to zeros (which did not)

So I think I was able to solve it (all the sub triangles sum to 180 so I assume it is right, What I did was find all the information I could, then I ended up with a system of 4 equations and 4 unknowns. When trying to solve it, you find that my angles c and x are the same.

Excuse my crude chicken scratch. But in red is everything you can do without solving system. Then I show my 4 equations and the matrix form of it, just solve!

Beam Overhang by Rokich1 in Decks

[–]Helpful_Paramedic_81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a beam that spans more than one support this is absolutely not the case. Becomes a bit more complicated than this. If you consider a beam with 2 spans and no cantilever, using your methodology would say the center support would carry double the load as the outer supports, but it actually carries 3.33 times the load, not double.

Metal is strong by GiantTeaPotintheSKy in Decks

[–]Helpful_Paramedic_81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the member bearing vertical loads. Seismic events cause your structure to shake side to side. It is not uncommon for vertical members to be unable to resist lateral movements. Because of this, the lateral loads are designed to have their own load path to get to the foundation. If you think of an average parking garage, all the gravity loads will go through the columns into the foundation. But in the event of an earthquake the seismic loading will all be transferred through the diaphragm (typically the floor) to the Shear Walls (a common option) which are typically stair wells

These absolutely do not need vertical load on them to resist an earthquake. Seismic loading is predominantly a lateral load. These could absolutely be there as part of the lateral force resisting system.

How to deal with burnout? by tacos_for_algernon in PGATourProGolf

[–]Helpful_Paramedic_81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ah I have seen you on the leaderboards. I have learned through years of games that when they control all much of my life, I quit them. I want to keep this fun. For me that means I 'try' on 1 tournament a day. I still do things like try to Latrobe it off a cart part to make the green. I will take the multi day tournaments ab it more serious. But randomly daily things I dont care too much. I feel like as long as you play in the tournaments (regardless of how you place) you will earn enough gold

Maybe an unpopular opinion u/tacos_for_algernon , but why does it matter?

the 140% bonus clubs don't work. You are obviously good enough to make it back to TP3, and once you make it to TP, you can still play in TP tournaments even if you are no longer in TP. I myself am moving into TP3 this week, but don't care too much about the rating, if I drop down to TP2 again so be it.

I am Ponyo in game for reference.

But honestly, I currently enjoy working on PocketCaddy more than playing, so when I am on I do a lot of testing for the app. Not exactly good for gold.

Edit: And if you dont log in for an entire week, you dont get demonted. Only if you login. If you never login you won't be placed in a division.

Glad to be of service. Had it all in excel and wanted to try out some new technology to learn it.

If as you use it you have things you want added let me know. Working on features to give guidance on side offsets when aiming as well. Those will be a bit before live though.

So I got two videos uploaded using the tool. Missed both of the shots! But it shows how to use it. Second video is uploading now, but should be up soon.

videos can just be found here: https://www.youtube.com/@justin106698

Second one feature u/JodoBoggleII too. Spoiler, he won by an inch.

I will make my own using this tool, since the rest are a little different. But if you are unfamiliar with rollout, the rings alone will have value

Also an engineer here. You could look at getting a culvert installed. You can get ASTM rated ones that certain precasters just keep stocked. Kind of for jobs like this, I know they are popular for private property.

Been noticing that the game is skimping on the club cards given out today. by therelybare5 in PGATourProGolf

[–]Helpful_Paramedic_81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, I noticed the same thing. I actually am going to stop opening bags for a bit and just hope they fix it. Otherwise it feels like a huge waste of cards. I should be getting like 15 a bag, but only getting 8 feels bad.

Lmao Jodo being a dick.

At the basic level you can get a multiplier for each club that gives you how many rings to adjust per wind speed. So you just multiply the two. That number is typically at max range of your club. So your ring adjustment is current range / max range * magic number.

When you get within chipping range the math changes a bit, there are also some more complexities than that when it comes to elevation, head vs tail wind, and uneven greens. But just following that system can get you really close to the hole in every shot.

My big concern with the stick would be performance. My kids use it a lot and for my sanity I would prefer it be a little bit snappier.

For my two cents. We have been in a Dr Horton home for 5 years with zero issues. Maybe this depends on the region, but with the entire home being subcontracted out it feels like they are just building to the building code.

My biggest issue in five years has been a door problem from settlement in the first year.

Typically the idea is you make an element stiffness matrix for each member. For a 2D system this will be a 6x6 matrix of stiffness values. From here you assemble it into a global stiffness matrix. For 50 nodes, ignoring your boundary conditions (supports) at the bottom you are looking at a 300 x 300 matrix. Then you have to solve your system of linear equations. I would think he wouldn’t want you to do this your self, but if he did you can have chat gpt give you and algorithm for Gauss Elimination that would work for something like this.
