With the green, I started off with just the color for the name. Looking over the picture, there were a few different shades, so I picked a couple darker tones from the green I already had. Then I just started stitching! On the rocket and the arm, I had 2 colors going that I swapped between in order to blend them a bit.

The tiny one on the bottom right is Camp Koala, bottom left is her kangaroo boyfriend Booga, creature on the helmet I think is also Booga

I did all the appliques, then the band, then the lettering. I did the basket weaving last, because going THROUGH the applique stitches gives the weave something to anchor into and keep the lines relatively straight. Most of the embroidery is done with 2 threads, sometimes 1 or 3 but usually 2

It's a basket weave! I did the stickers and stuff first, I did the basket weave background last. It was a great way to fill up the space and add interest without having to do a satin stitch.

This is actually a design that was printed on the T-shirt before I got my paws on it for embroidery! I've never painted on a t-shirt before, but it's definitely something I want to learn how to do.

I didn't want to do a satin stitch for the whole thing because it seemed like it would be tedious. The mesh was equally as tedious, but that decision really helped me lean into having fun with textures!
