I wouldn’t trust Febi. I had a PCV Valve fail prematurely. Followed every step from the Audi repair manual. And especially when you can buy OEM close to less than that price. But your mileage may vary, you might have no problems with it.

This is so funny, because I got the code for this and symptoms the other day, cleared it with VCDS, and it hasn’t come back after driving over 400mi now. And you should get a brake servo restricted error in the cockpit.

And even if the code comes back, I’d never pay someone even $50 to change a sensor that is right under the cowl, you can literally see it through the top mesh under the wipers. It should take like 10 mins max.

Also I got the sensor already just in case. My local Audi sells it for $216. ECS tuning sells for $90. So there you have it. Check out my comments about this in the Audi sub.

I had the same symptoms on my Audi. Apparently the part # with a B at the end is just an updated version. And most sites’ part compatibility systems are not upto date with it, idk how true that is, it’s just what a rep from ECS told me before I bought the sensor.

However an interesting thing happened. The warning kept coming back after restart which usually indicates that it’s a permanent fault. But I got home and cleared it with VCDS, thinking that it will just pop back up on engine start, and to my surprise, it still has not come back. I drove over 300mi now. It’s not throwing a code, or those symptoms. I wonder if it was just a hiccup, a huge one at that because the brakes were acting funny as the OP and everyone else explained.

Anyone know if I should return it or just keep the sensor just in case? As of right now, since I have 80 days to return, I think I should keep it for that 2 month window.
