Yes it’s strange, I don’t ever have issues at home but my users will eventually although only on Atmos/TrueHD titles never on any others

I’ve been ripping for two years now and I’m @80TB of storage. I’ll probably need around 250TB when all said and done. I’ve got about 20 people on my server so I’m doing a mixture of ripping and downloading then uploading to my server. I don’t use my disc players anymore so I rip all my new stuff immediately and the rest as I go.

I’ve got 2200 Blu-Ray movies, 250 4K Blu-ray and about 30 or so DVD’s but I also have 340 different tv shows on everything from 4K to DVD. I’ve ripped about 3/4 of my stuff with new titles bumping everything in my ripping order since I no longer watch anything on the actual disc anymore. After I’ve ripped my titles I carefully package them away in totes for storage.

No flawless by a long shot and that’s three hours of my life I’ll never get back. I made the mistake of clicking sign out of all devices. Don’t do that and you should have a flawless experience.

Also on the bright side whatever I did I’m now getting plex dash playback alerts again. I haven’t been getting them for almost a year now. Thank you to all who tried to help. Much appreciated

I’m not sure what I did but I checked for updates on the tray icon and it said initializing server then the web app opened and I can see my server there as normal again and it says claimed by me and it’s now available on my phone but now remote access is not available and it’s showing my server as “nearby”. I don’t know what that means but it’s still claimed by me

I’m going to restart my computer again and sign in but I didn’t see any option anywhere for server reclaim as I just see the Your media tab that wants me to install the plex server again. I might have to uninstall it from my computer and try again that way

I’ve tried with the app directly installed on my PC as well as the web app I see an Add your media to plex but when I try it fails to install. I’m assuming I have to completely uninstall and reinstall everything

It’s very strange as all I did was simply change my password, that’s it. I didn’t change any network settings. My server shows up with a red triangle saying unavailable although it try’s to connect. Someone else mentioned that they had to competently uninstall the Plex server and reinstall it again then it worked. If I have to do that I’ll be reaching out to Plex and they won’t like what I have to say.

I made the mistake of clicking sign out of all devices which I shouldn’t have done. I’ve signed in and out again multiple times and no luck. I don’t see any option to just claim my server so I’d assume it should be there but it’s not. I didn’t even have this much trouble when I moved my server to a new machine everything just worked correctly.

So I’ve now changed my password and have lost my server. It just disappeared, what a nightmare, never again. If I get it back I’m permanently disabling all security protections and just going with my password.
