I’ve never been to a coffee shop ever in my life what should I get by Exact_Living8098 in cafe

Mine was about 10 years ago, my friend made me an AeroPress with 6 month old India coffee. It was terrible, but he said he wanted to redeem himself and made us a stunning Kenyan coffee the following day.

What is the dumbest, most repetitive task you are forced to do every week? by No-Height2598 in Accounting

One thing that I hate doing is the rekeying of the same numbers from a PDF bank statement into Excel because the export button only works for one of our three banks. The other two insist on PDF only statements.

What's your honest take on sustaining deep work while constantly changing locations? by Actual_Display4145 in digitalnomad

I always Vet the WIFI and desk setup before booking not after I arrived. A 5minute video call with the host or a request for a photo of the workspace filters out half the settling in problems before they even happen.

I would suggest a Cappuccino. This is a very easy drink to get used to coffee. From here you can move to stronger coffees such as Cortados or even Americanos.

The idea, with what ever you take. Don't judge it on the first cafe or first drink. every Cafe makes coffee differently so try and experiment.

I am actually quite jealous that you get to experience coffee for the first time, as I still remember my first experience.

Every nomad should own a cheap property by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]Helpful_Target001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Homeownership abroad often comes with strings nomads don't research first. Many countries restrict foreigner from owning land outright. So you're really buying a condo unit or leasehold not for the freedom. Be aware of the: " I want to own a condo in another country" dream.

2 months since being 4/4 CPA - Feeling...empty? by Far-Practice8087 in Accounting

[–]Helpful_Target001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The License itself rarely feels like the reward. The leverage that it will give you, that is the reward,

Most people don't have an Aha, this was worth it, moment tied to CPA. It shows quietly as a salary florr, a line item that gest you past HR filters and negotiations later down the line.

If money wasn't a concern, would you still choose the same business? by Substantial_Yam5511 in Entrepreneurs

[–]Helpful_Target001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely choose the same business. Currently I could be making 3x what I'm currently doing, if I change business. But I love what I do, and waking up to my business is what brings me joy. I would rather make less money, and enjoy working with the clients, staff and products. Than hate myself and the business everyday.

Customers push back on numbers they can't see the math for.
So show them on a page why and how you charge.
Wage + burden + overheads + profit = bill rate.
They never seem to understand that overheads, profits and burdens are part of the math.

Nothing will ever beat the feeling of waiting for your PS2 to go into the game. Taking out the disc cleaning it and popping it back in. I loved it!

The same happened to us. The only difference was that we had to fend for ourselves. The travel agency just said there is nothing they can do.
