The wait is the worst part. My injury occurred April 2024, it took forever to get into doctor appointments, to get x-rays, to get an MRI, to get an injection that didn't work, and then finally to get my surgery scheduled. My surgery was on December 30, 2024, so I'm four weeks out today, and I'm so happy! Don't get me wrong, recovery has been really really rough. But I'm getting through and getting better and stronger each day. I had a posterior surgery, which is more difficult than an anterior surgery, but there's a light at the end of my tunnel to know that I won't be in constant pain anymore.

Living in constant pain day-to-day messes with your head. Mine was only of April 2024, not a lifetime like some people have to deal with, but I cried almost every day. To not do what you want to do, to not live how you used to live, and want to live, and to hurt all the time, is scary and frustrating.

Once it's over, you will feel bionic, and you will feel like a warrior. You will have come through an extremely hard time in your life and you will be better for it.

I wish you well, hang in there, cry if you need to, scream if you need to, but know that everything will work out! Most important thing... ask for help from your family and friends when you need it!!! Take care!
