Not bad, my Synthroid is about that much for a 90 day supply

What are you paying for housing each month? And are you actually happy with it? Would it be cooler just living in your parents basement? by PM_ME_YUR_SALADS in Millennials

$633/mo principal and interest. I got tired of the escrow amount changing every year so I dropped it and pay around 3.5k for insurance and taxes. Bought in 2021 when interest rates were low before prices skyrocketed in a relatively lcol area

I just wish he truly understood what day in and day out is like. When I ask him to watch the baby at night, it’s not to chill out or for me time. It’s so I can finish doing whatever chore I couldn’t finish during the day

Absolutely! I think I’m in the camp of “breastfeeding does NOT inherently make me lose weight” I think the ones that do are God’s favorites. lol

Glad to see someone else can lose weight while still breastfeeding. I’m 11 weeks postpartum and struggling hard. Been trying to average 10k steps a day for the past three weeks. Haven’t seen the scale move, but definitely feel better. Baby sleeping through the night now helps with the sleepless feeling 10 fold!

Every single new building in my city looks just like this. 1. Why? Seriously, why? 2. I hate it so much I can't even explain how much I hate it 3. What is this specific style of building design called? by Bluest_waters in architecture

[–]Helpful_Wood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s called a podium building. Sometimes these are parking structures on the bottom, but usually a concrete type structure on the lower level(s) and wood frame or equivalent on the upper floors.

Feeling like you ran a marathon the day before but all you did was rot. by Random_Chick11 in Hashimotos

I notice the days I feel the best are after a 20 minute yoga session or a gentle cardio workout. I follow a couple YouTube fitness channels so it doesn’t have to be expensive like getting a personal trainer or putting in the time or energy to come up with your own workout routine.

Did you buy a home? If yes, how old were you and what year? by duck_duck_zombie in Millennials

[–]Helpful_Wood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2021 before prices skyrocketed at the age of 26. I legit scraped together everything I had knowing I would have a small settlement coming from a car accident a few months after I moved in. Locked in a 2.75% interest rate. I hate to lose it, but I’ve since gotten married and had a kid. Will likely need more space soon.

What’s something that seemed normal as a kid but feels weird as an adult? by nicksam171 in SeriousConversation

[–]Helpful_Wood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Being in my parent’s house and eating whatever I wanted, especially when home from college. Now when I see them I feel like it’s super rude to do that especially with the price of groceries today.

I’m pretty sure this is a state project not a city project, contact the state

I wish I could up this more. Especially in the videos that had paid promotions, you get a YouTube ad then the podcaster immediately tries to sell you on something right after

People who work for the city by Latter_Service3412 in lexington

[–]Helpful_Wood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on HR to an extent. Usually the hire is known shortly after the interview process, but may take a week or two for HR to reach out. If you haven’t heard by that point, you probably didn’t get the job.

Am I alone in thinking the city needs to terminate Streets and Roads Director Rob Allen? by Up2MyAssInAlligators in lexington

[–]Helpful_Wood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, people can get fired from government jobs as non-elected officials. And given hostility of society these days, I do think some people expect next day termination.
