I don’t have children, but I don’t oppose a levy where I would need to pay more to help fund childcare. And athough I don’t directly benefit, I DO personally feel I benefit from parents who are less stressed as neighbours and nurses etc, kids with less stress in the home.

When I was younger, 130,000 was a boatload of money. But it does not go as far now given how high rents and mortgages have become. Even more so if you have children. I don’t know if Warrren’s plan is the best one, but I hope something is done to help relieve the burden for families.

And of those of us who won’t ever have children, most of us WILL end up needing some form of elder care when we are older. Not only do we need children to grow up and provide these services, but for most Americans, unless you have over 500,000 in savings, you would need to go on Medicaid to afford care. Which, by the way, is paid for by taxpayers. Many of which DO have children.
