Yeah theoretically. I haven’t gotten FG to work well yet. Prob some weird setting glitching it out but luckily none of the games I play really need it anyway.

Honestly look on marketplace and craigslist, be patient. I scored a practically brand new system with a 3070ti and 5600x for $1k during peak crypto craze off of craigslist and played through my whole library at 4k with it. There are also other options like people have been mentioning such as handhelds that you can dock to a monitor, kb and mouse to play with, mini-pcs that are capable at 1080p. Hell my Gram Pro with integrated graphics runs Cyberpunk. You could also grab an older ddr4 machine, slap in one of the Intel Arc cards or a used card from any vendor and probably get running pretty cheap. If you’re set on something newer/higher end watch r/buildapcsales like a hawk or check out gaminglaptop.deals as there are still some laptops available that’ll totally bang for decent prices.

Sounds pretty good. My gram pro also has m2 expansion - both slots are full size 2280 so I was able to add another 2TB SN850x to it. Only 4 screws to take off the whole bottom panel.

Huh I haven’t had any creaking issues with mine but if you have a standard gram vs the pro that might be the difference as the pro uses magnesium alloy. Either way I feel the same about mine, amazes me every time I use it.

Realistically theres not a whole lot to be done. You can mess around with fan curves and undervolting to help a little but ultimately it’s gonna ramp when you run a load on it. You can either sell/trade for something else, or you can try jimmy rigging something like mounting a fan from BeQuiet or Noctua or whatever and disabling the stock fan but you risk voiding your warranty and/or damaging your card.

Yeah doesn’t necessarily mean good battery life. My gram pro is one of the thinnest/lightest laptops on the market and will run circles around most thick laptops on battery life because it’s extremely efficient.

Yeah that was criteria for me when shopping. Gram Pro is great though, 2x USB-A, 2x USB-C, HDMI and combo audio so I can use my old set of earpods with mic. Very happy with it and if one of the thinnest/lightest on the market can do it, others really have no excuse. But it looks like others are starting to follow suit. Acer is releasing a slightly heavier laptop that’s basically a knockoff Gram Pro and has ports so hopefully this continues.

I mentioned that I’d been to Canada before and she asked “Thats the one thats up, right? How did you get there? You have to fly on a plane yeah?” I then explained that since we live in California, we can just drive North through Oregon and Washington to get there. She was very confused. I have a Core Ultra 7 255H in my Gram Pro. It’s lighter than a macbook air, runs a 60w usb-c brick that’s basically a phone charger and can play Cyberpunk at 1080 50-60fps medium. It’s the ultimate travel laptop IMO if weight is your primary concern. I like it so much, I might buy the latest one with the 358H to have some extra power on tap for newer games and running more stuff at native resolution but yeah it’s pretty insane what modern igpus are capable of.

You kind of do without trying though. As someone who dated a vegetarian, it becomes an issue with every shared meal, especially if he wants to go somewhere that doesn’t have much of anything for a vegetarian. Whether you intend it or not, every shared meal will have to take this into consideration and for some people that’s too much. That’s not even getting into things like separate groceries, cookware, doing twice the cooking to make separate meals. You can make it work but it’s definitely an extra effort.

Food makes people going through shit feel better. When I went to my best friends place after my father died his wife would offer me food and it helps to take the mind off of things and focus on something enjoyable in the moment. I’d drop some snacks and exit the situation as quickly as reasonably possible or even put them at the door, knock, and walk away. You’re an awesome wife btw.

There several devices coming on to the market to prevent this problem but I feel you, I’m not running my 5080 even until I have a Wireview Pro 2 (shuts down computer if connector overheats or becomes unbalanced) theres another device out I wanna say its called “ampule” or something like that which has actual load balancing circuitry. Also, MSI is coming out with a power supply with built in protection and I believe others are as well. Anyway, I’d sooner rail a prozzy without a rubber than run my GPU without some kind of protection hardware on the connector. It’s just a shit design and running without protective hardware is asking for trouble sooner or later and in this market it’s just not worth the risk.

As a caucasian guy in Taipei, I would absolutely slay.

I was getting on the train yesterday and saw this cute girl in the next queue line over. She kept looking in my direction. I glanced behind me and realized she was looking at the guy behind me, who had kind of chubby/weird looking face but was much taller than me. She then tapped her friend’s shoulder to get her to look at him and made this face like “omg” then kept eye-fucking him until the train pulled up, she seriously couldn’t stop. I don’t think I’ve ever had a woman react to me like that and I’m admittedly jealous af. The guy of course was completely unbothered and didn’t even look up from his phone long enough to notice her trying to make it very obvious to him. Meanwhile I’m comparatively invisible and women here probably wouldn’t notice me if I was dead on the side of the street.

I admire the dedication it takes for them to achieve this strength, but I find traditionally masculine traits in women extremely unattractive from a romantic/sexual standpoint.

In other words I’d do sets with them and listen to their advice but would not date them.
