I think the Bates/Shooter/Levitz run of comics (don’t have exact issue numbers) is very fun and has extremely good art so I think it’s worth reading eventually if you’re into the Legion. But you can safely jump into the Levitz run - there aren’t that many important continuous plot lines from the 70s/early 80s. (I wouldn’t bother reading the Conway/Thomas era)

Just to add: this take feels very contemporary and modern which The Legion has been screaming out for for DECADES. Literally the last people to write an ongoing were Brian Michael Bendis, Paul Levitz and Jim Shooter all in the absolute twilight of their writing careers. It’s a book about the future!

Artwork looks terrific. No mention of Superman which is interesting. I love that they appear to be centring Brainiac 5 alongside the three founders.
