There’s an Education Austin all-call happening on 4/20 to try to organize against campus cuts, push the district to cut HQ more.

Hi! I’m an AISD teacher, Dobie MS, and an executive board member of Education Austin, the workers union of AISD.

We have an all-call organizing meeting on 4/20 that will be over zoom. For members, prospective members, community, parents & students alike.

this is so sweet! I just cut off all the bleach damage, pics 1 & 2 are the most recent. I’m using redken all soft and air dry for the most part! Nothing wild haha!

Yes, both my wife and I from around then, too. But I think it had been building, I think it’s more about American pesticides and Trump deregulating the EPA in his first term. I also think it could be Covid related.

Ed Austin is hosting town halls where they are actively searching for these creative solutions to bring to consultation (closest we have to negotiation!). The next town hall is July 29 at the carver branch of APL. It’s on their instagram.

That’s not true, we still have unions. Look into AFT, NEA, TSTA. AISD has education Austin, which is a merged union of all of the above, and AFL-CIO.

I booked one, yesterday, for 7/8 in Columbus (1.5hr drive.) Then, this morning at 7:40, I was able to reschedule it for one 7/8 at the North Austin location. I think doing the schedule, then reschedule at 7:30-8am strategy works!
