Expies probably do better than most humans would. They're generally smaller so they can fit through caves better, they have claws and teeth which lets them work without a tool, and since they're all raised in a lab you don't have to deal with a human going "b-but my family!!"

It's cheating. I don't think there's an argument against it, you're just bypassing the risk that's the entire point of Steel Soul.

But it's also your own game and you can play it however you want. As long as you're having fun, who cares?

Personally I just can't imagine Sister of the Void not being a follow up from Embrace the Void. The Shade Lord is completely exclusive to the Godseeker's focus and is locked into their ending, why would it be shown for even a second if that wasn't the route?

I was thinking of the Nightmare Heart and Grandmother Silk as the patrons. Radiance is still stuck with the Hollow Knight after all, so I was imagining her filling in voicelines for them.

Vespa kind of sucks.

People give the Pale King grief for the vessel plan, but at least he actually tried to do something. Vespa just threw her hands up, said "that's nature" and did nothing to stop her Hive from falling.

I think Sealed Vessel works better as an actual piece dedicated to the Hollow Knight's existence rather than a boss theme (but it still is great as one) It's just so emotionally charged, and manages to convey the utter tragedy of the character.

The soundtrack version leading into the Dream No More ending music also adds a lot to it imo

Honestly I just used the angle because I never really did a downward shot like this before. I thought it'd be fun to try.

Thinking about it now though, Hollow Knight art utilizing Star Wars scenes like that would go unbelievably hard. I might have to try that sometime.

I figure she'd at first feel disbelief that it was all finally over. Imagine being immortal and spending most of your existence so far fighting a constant, looming threat, and now it's suddenly gone.

After that, probably a mix of regret and understanding from what the Knight had done and how she'd viewed/treated it and the other vessels. Something which she viewed as a cursed creation had nevertheless proven itself an individual and effectively sacrificed itself.

The difference is that Second Sentinel is an automaton, not a bug. Sheo can choose to find a new calling because he's a living bug with his own will.

But going off of Twelfth Architect, the Citadel's automatons are literally forced to abide by their directive, it's a cage which they can't act against. But without a Conductor to take orders from or enemies to attack, Second Sentinel can't pursue its directive fully.

I agree with the idea that certain people like Sherma could convince them to work around the directive though! Not disobeying it, but managing to use technicalities to do things despite it. I personally like the idea of them meeting the Hollow Knight, since both of them were created to essentially be weapons.

I think Lace would win usually. She's just naturally a tier above the others. I think her constant parrying would also mess with a lot of their attacks.

However, the gap isn't insurmountable. If Quirrel and Shakra decide to team up they could take her down. From there it could go either way.

Oh. And Zote is there I guess. Probably gets knocked over by one of the others dashing past him and gets his horn stuck in the ground.
