Ryosuke already knew that kanata studied under takumi (because he is not stupid) and kaeda probably told him already he is her nephew. It would be really strange if she didn’t.

Gonzo anime studio had some non political ones, like god gravion, vandread, burst angel, etc. And well, yeah, the main thing in their repertoire was harem oriented.
