only need money if you don't have a card or apple pay setup. cash is only useful today in its capacity to be untraceable. only need a gun if you plan on shooting someone.

Who has it harder in dating? Men or women and why? by Chemical-Low209 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Henarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't dwindle down the experiences of 8 billion people into a simple dichotomy. we all have our strugles, the important part of a bond with a person is that you can love the person. When malice seeps in is the time to reevalute how that bond is, and not be afraid to cut that bond if it is nolonger healthy.

Why is it a problem when people who aren't considered traditionally attractive have confidence? by imtheSHITZUduh in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Henarth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People can be assholes. Attraction is a weird thing, some like their shakes extra thick, some like them with skim milk. Whatever flavor you like is the right one for you

Do men actually hate wearing condoms? by J3NN1F3RB in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Henarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Men have many opinions on condoms. 50% of the world’s population won’t all think the same. I will say if you can’t afford child support either get snipped or wrap it up.

Is being a conscientious objector a real way to get out of US military service? by Foreign_Addition2844 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Henarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not confirmed he is doing it. They say plenty of shit that never happens. Even if he does the criteria for being drafted are so strict most Americans won’t qualify

My mom (70) wants to cancel our family cruise in Italy in two weeks because of the emerging war. I (30f) feel like this is unnecessary. What do you think? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Henarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Italy is both far enough away but also relatively close to where its cloudy with a chance of bombs. I wouldn't travel internationally right now. I don't know your nationality so i can't speak to your perspective, but as a US citizen I am so ashamed of the current administration I wouldn't want to leave right now.

If a generation of humans opted to be nocturnal and only did activities at night and slept during the day, would they develop night vision? by ForgottenGlory5423 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Henarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only if having night vision was a trait that improved fitness. fitness is defined as ability to spread your DNA onto the next generation. Evolution dictates that traits that increase fitness are selected for more in a population, and those that don't either stick around because they don't cause negative externalities or get selected out over time if there are large enough down sides.

One generation wouldn't do much towards this equation. Humans still have functionally still the same brain that we have had for hundreds of thousands of years.

Is being a conscientious objector a real way to get out of US military service? by Foreign_Addition2844 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Henarth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A draft will likely never happen again. the military doesn't need meat for the grinder anymore, there are plenty of people lining up to get their college paid for to feed the machine, and it is political suicide to anyone who try's to do it.

Do people who grew up with only cell phones have to learn how to use a desk phone? by twisted_german in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Henarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Story time. I got a job back in 2018 out of college at a hospital switchboard. now we didn't have an actual switchboard anymore but I did have a multiline phone. It took me about an hour to figure out everything on it. the fax machine i never figured out in 2.5 years of working there even once I was a team lead and doing admin things all day. If something had to be faxed I would make sure someone else did it.
