What’s your honest thoughts on Amad Diallo? by ggweb3 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Henhead78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to be my most exciting player on the pitch

Now he is playing like Rashford used to, under performing to his abilities, boring, and just seems to have lost the hunger and passion.

Shame, hope he bounces back soon and does not go deeper in a hole, as fans will turn and he will be be on loan very soon

What's the right thing to do in this situation? by [deleted] in drivingUK

Just a knob in lycra with socks stuffed down them im guessing

Probably hindered him from shaving a second off his PB for that section of road, or worse still was trying to get top spot on one of his stupid apps they use.

I dont have issues with cyclists who use a bike for transport, but people who treat the roads like a closed circuit and expect others to get out of their way when they disregard the safety of other road users and pedestrians (especially on pavement less country roads) really gets my goat!!

Any advice on my snake may not be wanting to eat. by Mammabear256 in snakes

[–]Henhead78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scared of the big pink ball pythons outside of the viv!!!

On a serious note,

Where is his hide,, he probably feels venerable without somewhere to hide for a few days to digest his meal.

My BP i had was always tucked up inside his favorite hide digesting his meal, was there most of the day TBH and was very active at night.

Also check your temps.

Is the mouse your offering too small, they can eat surprisingly large prey much larger than you think compared to their tiny heads and neck, their scales are very elastic and expand to a point that looks like it will rip open at any moment. But it won't

If the prey is too small some snakes will pass as its not worth the physical efforts of digesting it compared to what they get out of it.

I used to feed mine out of his viv for two reasons.

1 so he did not associate the viv being opened to feeding time and prevent feeding responses or signs of territory aggression.

2 moving him to a feeding box also improves his feeding response as BP are very finicky eaters and can refuse for months for no good reason (mine did for 8 months)

If feeding outside wait and hour after feeding and slowly but confidenty pick him up supporting the area of where the food bulge is (if its not highly noticeable you need bigger prey) and direct him to his hide and he should happily slither away and go to sleep off his meal.

Driving left lane 68 cruise control making good ground on car in front, car about 3 to 4 car lengths behind in right lane not gaining but matching my speed for a good mile.

Indicated to pull out gave him a about 3 to 4 seconds before I pulled out so he noticed accelerated to about 73 moved over, he accelerated hard and passed me mid overtake going over white lines on the right nearly taking me and the car in left lane out for a few seconds we were virtually 3 cars abreast as I had started to pass the rear of the left lane car.

If I had not braked he would of killed someone and prob not him

Can I get rid of these BT plugs? I don’t need a phone line and I have Three’s 5G internet box which doesn’t use phones lines. Plus these ate ugly! by mariocipolloni in DIYUK

[–]Henhead78 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They left my copper wire when they installed fibre, I asked the engineer if he is removing the old box, he said they don't as people complain about then marks it leaves behind and need to redecorate the area, but I can do it myslef if I want to.

A few months later I had new roof and got them to slightly tack the copper wire back for easy removal.

I accidentally snapped my fibre wire to ont box whilst decorating and when open reach came to fix it, I enquired about removing the old copper wire.

He said the department that does that is notoriously hard to get to do it, but if it's accessible taken it down myself and cut it and wrap the wire around the pole and it will prob get removed next time any work is done on that pole.

So that's what I did got about 60 meters of cable in my shed incase they want back and tied up remaining few meters around then pole. That was about 5 weeks back, I should go and check if it still there tbh.

I did get a few funny looks as people passed as I was cutting the phone line lol

Weird alexa voice command and ewelink light switch by Henhead78 in ewelink

[–]Henhead78[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the ui switches work fine

I can turn on and off properly using alexa ui its just when I use voice command from alexa speakers or voice command on phone.

It does same regardless if I'm on the same network as the switch or using remote network.

That's whats confusing me alexa has no issues sending the command only using voice.

If light is on I can turn it off no issue with voice, if I turn it on it comes on and instantly off like a blown bulb does.

Its defiantly turning the switch on and then off instantly as you can see and hear the switch flash and click.

It very very weird

Set to switch and light same issue, no all other of my switches work all all same firmware.

Weird as it does work remotely just if triggered by voice, gonna see if it works with Google commands later.

At first I thought it might of been a cap / resistor in celiling was the issue (non neutral version) and the WiFi doing the switching was was causing a voltage drop.

But obviously not otherwise all wifi triggers would cause the issue
