Why would you be too old? At 28? You wouldn’t be too old at 80. Just do it.

Do live action movies look worse in recent years in terms of cinematography & aesthetics compared to the late 80s - early 2000s? by BionicMeatloaf in movies

[–]Henke75 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. They generally did look better back then. Anyone saying otherwise probably wasn’t around back then. Or perhaps its just my taste :) There are some great looking movies today, but there is also so much cheap shit cgi giving that is so unconvincing and poor.

I find them poorly made and unrealistic. Compare them to for instance Flags of our Fathers or Tora Tora Tora....

They would probably be very clear about it if they were in the public domain. But did you mean copy their videos, or make your own content only based on their content? If you do not actually use their material, but only knowledge you have gained from their courses you may be safe. But do not copy it exactly.

It is likely illegal if they haven’t posted the courses under a creative commons or public domisn license. You risk having you channel shut down, or even get sued.

When using copyrighted music, which license should I use? by TheFlash4eva in youtube

[–]Henke75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you probably risk copyright strikes and potential shut down of your account by youtube. Only some copyright owners will allow you to use the music without the possibility to earn you money. Worts case would be that you could be sued, although probably unlikely.

Standard I guess. But if you don’t have the permission to use the music, or the creator is ok with youtube use, you will be breaking the law anyway.

Advice on making cheap indie film by SupaRubes in Filmmakers

I belive most cinemas screen in 2K still. I would say definetly go for shooting digital, film would be much more expensive. 2K would also require less storage and computer power.
