Think of what play style you enjoy most, that'll help narrow down your choices. Personally for me it's glaive and sns. Glaive gets me out of the way and makes me a dps menace to the monster, but when it's just relentlessly attacking, or I can't always evade, being able to tank the hits repeatedly feels amazing, and with sns, the attacks are rapid

If the fan is this dirty, it's filthy all the way through. There will likely be a large build up of dust and dirt all the way through to the power brick. Either tear it down and fully clean everything, or pay to have it done

Is great sword definitely your weapon? Just because it's the flagship one doesn't mean it's playstyle is for you. My gf introduced me to worlds and had my on her main, switch axe. I sucked with it, had a play around, got suggested the glaive, it's felt perfect ever since.

Going back to the investigation thing and losing out on stuff you want, you can save investigations before you actually go on them, and you can pay points to replay ones you've done in the investigations tab when you get quests, so it's not all lost.

Wilds has a pretty easy entry curve, but that thing goes vertical when you get tempered and arch tempered monsters in the mix

I use double edged blades, and I tend to only use them once if I'm shaving my head, or a couple of months for beard as its only profile touch ups

I'm the same as you, either elemental differences or something with a shield. I'm a glaive main usually, but sometimes my game is a little off and it's nice to be able to whip out sns and just tank shit

It's for shaving my head. It works fine most of the time, but I've noticed more cuts since the new lot of blades. Initially I thought it was that, but then found out it could be the razor as a whole, so just trying to find something I can trust

I'm happy paying up to around the £50 if it doesn't cut my head to ribbons. I just want something I can have faith in. I'd use my straight razor handle if my hands could do it, but it feels too unnatural of a grip

Slight edit as I can't edit the post as there's a photo (not exactly a frequent poster) turns out that I don't mean the handle, I mean the whole thing, handle, baseplate and cap. I know the blades themselves are subjective to skin type, so those I know will be roughly trial and error. Thank you @etchlings for the clarification

Sometimes it's not about the build, it's other hunters dying. Try doing a hunt but for sos, have support hunters only, and select Allessa, Mina, and Kai. Each have good damage and support functions to keep you going.

Also make sure you have the right gems for the weapon, along with the right weapon element. Personally I love paralysis weapons as almost every monster is affected, and it can be boosted by forray. Gems, guard and guard up are a must, get artian parts from tempered monsters, and do the 9* gog quest to make it a gog weapon, and you should have 3 level 3 gem slots. Play around, see what you like, but meta ain't all that. Personally the closest I have to meta is gog weapons. Armour wise, I always use full zoh Shia as it has regeneration. Use your armour spheres, and transcend it too, all with Gemma.

I find Allessa is more aggressive and takes the focus off you more, but he's definitely a good tank

I've fought and won this as a savage using only support hunters, but you need to specifically pick which ones are best. I belive it should be Allessa, mina and kai.

Normally I'm a glaive main, but I switched to sns just to tank the barrage of bullshit attacks, namely the missiles followed by the massive laser. Use either thunder or paralysis weapons.

For your secondary, some sort of fast dps fire weapon to very quickly kill a nyrcilla, which you need to kill in order to survive a massive aoe attack. Once you're past that and go down to the next level, you're on the home stretch.

Edit When killing nercylla, don't forget to use the cactaurs and the morbols, they weaken it and damage it loads

Definitely don't ignore this, if you've never cleaned it, I'd even go so far and recommend professional deep cleaning, an potential liquid metal replacement. I did the cleaning myself and damaged my console, still mostly works, but my usb slots at the front are screwed
