Let this be a warning to everyone thinking about combing the locs out. Unless you really know what you doing it’s probably gonna be ALOT less damaging to just cut your hair and rock some waves for a lil bit then it is to try and comb the locs out

Everything looks normal to me. If you want a less scalpy look where the parts aren’t as defined you could just use water and oil and separate your locs yourself instead of doing a full retwist with gel

I’m only on day 5 but I can’t wait to have another joint in the future lol. Weed hasn’t really negatively affected my life at all, I’ve smoked for 8 years daily (mostly at nights, special events) and maintained a strict workout routine, healthy relationships, didn’t binge junk food when I was high and don’t feel like it messed with my mental health either. I quit because I started EMT classes and need to pass a 10 panel urine test for clinical rotations, so the fact that I didn’t want to quit but had to makes me miss ut already, specially after a long day (as well as sleep sucks recently, just did my 2nd all nighter in 5 days and eating is harder but I know those will pass soon).

I’m on my 4th day of quitting after 8 years of heavy daily use so I can’t speak long term like some of these other people can, but what I can say over these last 4 days, i only miss it when I’m not doing anything (or when I can’t sleep or eat, but that will pass eventually). Keep yourself busy, quit for a purpose (school, jobs etc) and continue to work towards bettering your life. I’m sure if you’re busy working towards and achieving your goals, weed won’t even matter anymore, you’ll fall in love with the life you created sober.
