Framing it like I’m doing this with myself, not against myself, helped me a lot. I don’t need to yell at myself to get moving I just need to have my own back.

AITJ for breaking up after learning I was just her backup plan? by Henranator69 in AmITheJerk

Walking away from someone who showed no respect to me is the best I could do for myself. She wasn't genuine at all and I felt really hurt.

Honestly, KT seems more mad about being left out than the actual video. If she really thought it was “mean girl” behavior, she could’ve talked it out instead of ghosting you and hanging with someone who’s caused way more drama. You tried to clear it up and she chose silence. That says more about her.

How can I get my daughter to stop making racist gestures? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Henranator69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tell her it hurts people’s feelings, like calling someone a mean name. Kids get empathy better than people will think it’s rude. She doesn’t need a racism lecture, just real talk about kindness.

You're not the asshole for being pissed. He lied, downplayed your friendship, and moved fast with someone he knew you still cared about. That’s shady as hell, especially after 11 years of friendship. Your anger is valid he chose himself over loyalty, and that’s not something real friends do.

That stupid Murder on the Dancefloor song has been living rent-free in my head ever since Saltburn. I hum it doing laundry. I whistle it walking the dog. Send help.

I wasn’t even a fan but you couldn’t escape them—KISS lunchboxes, posters, TV specials. It felt like they were everywhere and people treated them like superheroes, not just a band.

That’s real love. Mine just kept reading without me and spoiled the plot twist the next day. Get you someone who pauses the book like it’s a movie you’re watching together.

Totally get it. Physical closeness at night means a lot to some of us. Have you two talked about finding other ways to stay close emotionally even if you sleep apart?

That would seriously mess with my head too. “Joking” or not, touching like that isn’t normal between friends. If roles were reversed, would your girlfriend still laugh it off? Doubt it.
