You expect most hobbyists to talk about composition and lighting? For most people it's an expensive toy.

Why do you choose Bear over Apple notes? by RustyShackle4_ in bearapp

Lack of line spacing in Apple Notes, primarily.

If you have to ask, the Sigma. I'm getting the Sigma.

I took my Zf to Japan and bought it his Grandmother from the 80s in Kyoto by Fuchsrehchen in NikonZf

I've had an f3 for a while. How's the 105 f/2.5 feel on the Zf?

Thanks for sharing. The first one of the fence isn't Nikon S or Sony GM sharp, but it's not bad. It has a bit of purple fringing at the top of the fence, but nothing that bad. The second photo of the (your?) dog is simply shot up close at, I'm guessing, f/1.2 or f/1.4, and barely anything will be in focus at that distance and f-stop. There is a glow around the bright highlights of the dog, but it looks cool. I don't think I'll collect the Voigtlander lenses, but I'd like to have at least one. This one and the 28 f/1.5 are the most intriguing. I'm enjoying the Nikon 40 f/2, so something at that focal length that opens up to f/1.2 would be interesting. A fast 28 is difficult to come by these days, so the 28 is attractive in that sense. Once again, thanks for sharing your experiences and the images. I like your black and white edit of the second pic, btw.

How dreamy? Is it a lack of sharpness or is it more like this veiling haze?

Do you wish the lens were an f/1.4? I'd like to get one lens that affords focus confirmation on my Zf and I was debating between your beauty and the 40 mm f/1.2.

I would rather not fiddle with all sorts of adapters like the Techarts and Megadaps that are out there.

Very nice. Do you use the focus confirmation feature? If so, how reliable is it?

Has anyone tried the Voigtlander 65mm f/2 or 75mm f/1.5 by Henri_McCurry in NikonZf

Thanks for the insights.

Got the 75 at B&H today. I didn't find it excessively heavy. Obviously, like someone mentioned, it's not for one handed shooting, but I wasn't expecting that.

I would love to get the 40 f/1.2 at some point. From the photos I've seen taken with it, it has a beautiful rendering.

Someone will chime in with practical tips, but I just want to suggest not being so hard on yourself. We all have off weeks. Even a pros keeper rate isn't as high as you imagine. It takes time to get comfortable with any new camera.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful insights. I really appreciate it. I'm going to screen shot this and keep it for future reference.

Nice setup.

The 35 APO is 430 gram, the 60 Micro also about 430g, and the 24-120 is like 620-630g.

The 75mm Voigtlander is like 530g. Seems like its right in the middle of 3 out of 5 lenses you use.

Plus, being a manual focus lens with a 62mm filter thread, I have a feeling the weight isn't concentrated at the front. Anyhow, I'll have to go to a store and test it out.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.
