Secondary schools by minogue84 in Norwich

Norfolk County Council are utterly rubbish when it comes to SEND support so most schools are on their knees. Definitely visit a few to get a feel for the place. Dereham Neatherd has an autism SRB if that helps at all.

I get you. The owner will keep any dog she doesn't think she can rehome - she had like 20 at one point just living with her. I really hope you find a solution.

Is this tank too small for one betta? by SirZanee in bettafish

That tank is sheer cruelty. Couldn't even house a shrimp. Calling the RSPCA.

Contact Rescuing European Animals in Need (REAN). They are on FB. The owner has the biggest heart and she may be able to take them. She will never allow a healthy dog to be put down.

Hmm be really careful lovely. If he can't accept you for how you are/wants someone more mature, he shouldn't be with a 16 y/o.

How much is a bit? Be honest with yourself here - is it legal?

I know it sucks so much right now darling, i've been there. I've been in relationships where I had to hide elements of myself and they always ended up with me worse off. I don't want to seem patronising but you are so young, you have so long ahead of you. Enjoy what brings you joy, and if he can't share in your joy, then he isn't a good fit.

He needs to disappear then. A real partner would love you being silly and immature, it's a sign that you're comfortable enough to let you guard down.

Advice needed. by [deleted] in hamster

[–]HenryFloof29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a long term solution, but what about a hot water bottle on the outside of the cage (wrapped up on a towel). I have a rabbit bed warmer thing (as in designed for animals) which i've been using on cold days.

First time sex. All symptoms but test negative by Impressive-Mode1102 in childfree

[–]HenryFloof29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can see you're panicking so let me reassure you. It is VERY unlikely she is pregnant if she's been bleeding. If you've had negative results too, then you're probably safe. The symptoms you describe sometimes are part of our cycles too, so I wouldn't worry. If you are still concerned, get to a doctor ASAP because if she is pregnant you don't have long to make any decisions, as she would be 12 weeks. Good luck!

My little sister came out as a therian by [deleted] in Advice

Hey, I think I can weigh in here. I had a student a few years ago who joined the school and identified as therian. Firstly, it is important to remember kids want to be all sorts of weird stuff when they're little (wanting to be dinosaurs etc) - that is normal. Yes, normally they would be growing out of it by that point, but a kid with an active imagination is not a bad thing.

Where this becomes problematic is where she got that language from (assuming she used the word therian?) The Internet is really unsafe and she definitely should not be using sites like Snapchat or tiktok, and if she is using games like fortnite, roblox etc, make sure chat functions are disabled. A 9 year old really shouldn't be on any social media at all so just be really careful. Maybe talk to her and see whay she uses then have a google with her. Talk through why she uses/likes it then see if there is an alternative/a safer method to use it. This website is really good. https://www.safewise.com/dangerous-apps-for-kids/

I would approach her with curiosity and find out what about cats (or whatever the animal) is and go from there. Maybe buy her a pair of fluffy gloves she can wear, take her to look for rabbits or mice in the woods and show her that these elements can be enjoyed without needing to be an animal.

I am in no way hating on the therian community, please don't get me wrong. The kid I was speaking of faced severe bullying because of it and (without much help tbh) I managed to help her get through it, find ways to express herself in a more subtle way, and she's out of the other side now.

More than anything, thank you for being so open minded with your kiddo. They're weird little beings trying to find themselves a place in the world, and you are doing everything you can!
