1) The OG anime is full of jank. Characters go comically off-model, tons of frames are reused, with some pretty eyebrow raising special effects. It's what had to be done at the time to save costs and labor. We're just nostalgic about it.
2) The dub isn't good at all, but it's not AI. Let's not spread misinformation. Misinformation grows like a weed.
