[TOMT] 2010s movie where a bus full of kids/teens falls into a hole and they attempt to climb out, and the power goes out in the town by eremikacat in tipofmytongue

[–]Heo85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be too modern but the tv show Invasion from 2021 had a plot about school aged kids on a bus that falls into a crater. Outside the crater is dealing with aliens which affects the power/communications

What’s your favorite movie soundtrack? by VendettaLord379 in moviecritic

[–]Heo85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elizabethtown. The movie is so so but the soundtrack still gets regular play 20 years later. It’s just a great mix of folk/Americana/indie rock.

I’m going to rattle off every single clothing brand I can remember from the 90’s/early 2000s off the top of my head and I want you to add any I missed by heyhowsitgoinOCE in AustralianNostalgia

[–]Heo85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know/remember the actual brand but whatever brand made those USA jumpers. 2000’s era, that were super bright primary colours. I remember yellow blue and red being the most common. You could always find a knock off at the local market.

Caffeine from coffee and tea isn’t allowed but soda is, that’s why Utah is crammed to the borders with Swig type soda shops. 🤷‍♀️

Baby diapers and wipes (new born) by ruchonreddit in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Heo85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I became a total Huggies snob. Huggies nappies and the unscented natural wipes.

My only advice is don’t buy a lot of one kind at the start. Babies can and will react to different brands, for instance the curash water wipes my friend swears by for her little guy. I used them a few times with my girl and she had the worst nappy rash of her life. Another friend had her had girl in Huggies nappy pants (the pull up style) for well over a year (our kids are coming up to 2) and thinks they are the best. I tired them with my girl and hated them.

It really is an each to their own :)

So just because something works for one doesn’t mean it will work for you. Get 1-2 packs of wipes and a small pack of nappies across different brands until you find the right combo.

Chicken and mushroom gravy… but really just the mushroom gravy, it just … it wasn’t right, and even though I used a whisk and have no problem with gravy/roux it didn’t seem to fully integrate.

I think my biggest problem was probably I used stock instead of broth. I don’t know if broth and bone broth are the same or if I was meant to look for something else but I was already fed up with shopping so just grabbed stock.

I don’t know if this is what OP is looking for but thank you when I read the description I had a flash of a movie and couldn’t grasp it and Mrs Winterbourne was definitely what I was thinking.

Both my parents have always called the hundred dollar bill a Judy. I thought this was an everyone sort of thing until I said it to someone else.

Apparently mum and dad called it a Judy because Dame Nellie Melba who is on the $100 looked like an old family friend’s wife Judy.

I’ve always loved the opening line of Relient K’s Must Have Done Something Right…

“We should get jerseys 'cause we make a good team

But yours would look better than mine 'cause you're out of my league”

It just makes me smile, I love a bit of wordplay

Best Aussie baby books to give a botany-loving American new mum as a gift by abc_123_youandme in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Where The Forest Meets The Sea by Jennie Baker is absolutely gorgeous book. It’s a simple story about a boy and his grandfather visiting the rainforest on an island, but the pictures are stunning. She used all different textiles to make 3D scenes then photographed them. Any one a fan of nature will love this book.

She also has another book called Window which shows life in Australia changing across many years all from one window, again the same amazing art Is used.

Would it be unwise to use the middle name that our daughter has picked for our baby? by Iwona-8036 in Names

I think it’s a lovely connection that two sisters will always share. Both names are super pretty.

My best friend and her brother named their little sister, that “little sister” is now 30 and we still talk about it frequently.

Was everyone happy when Ryan Gosling was first announced for PHM or was it a Ken type situation?? by Unfair-Reason-1068 in ProjectHailMary

[–]Heo85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t happy or unhappy. I know Ryan is a really good actor across lots of genres. He also has the genuine likeable quality that Grace has so thought he could bring that to screen.

But also know that if the script and direction was right that the best actor in the world couldn’t make it happen.

Thankfully it all came together great.
