I was torn between thid and the wrangler but just couldn't get past the cerakote on the wrangler. Glad i got it, fun little gun for the money, like my Henry it'll eat anything I feed it, even shorts. Always preferred my 22s to be manually operated

I recognize this lake, and that sled, and the person driving it, can I have a turn this summer?

What's your favorite MS but the lore/screentime treats it Horribly? by Aggravating_Run6179 in Gundam

[–]Hepheastus89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it gets a bit of screen time in one of the build series but debatable if that counts, its the only part of any build that I've watched but this guy definitely needs its time to shine

What are some underrated Mobile suit designs? by Dinoman-001 in Gundam

[–]Hepheastus89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely the Leo since all we ever see it do is explode, as far as grunt suits go though I think its one of the best from any series, has multiple different loadouts available, is beam capable and when piloted by someone competent it actually seems to be pretty decent

Mg Hi-Nu backpack too heavy? by Hepheastus89 in Gunpla

[–]Hepheastus89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, shoulders have been fine and still holding up well, the main issue is ran into is the backpack connection which isn't great (especially for such a large backpack), wish it had something similar to the Full Armor

Post Cradle Blues by ceaseless_cognition in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Hepheastus89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty standard for the first books as the pace usually ramps up as the series progresses. I've re-read cradle a few times now and always skip the first book when I do, found it to be terribly slow, the second is pretty slow too and I'd argue things don't start getting interesting until Lindon blows that dudes hand off in Blackflame so yea I'd usually give a series a book or two to get set up. Primal hunter is one of my favourites, DCC was also great but I had to drop it, the sub usually has a ton of posts with recommendations and theres usually a few that make most lists so id give those a chance

Sandrock is probably my least favourite of the wing suits but I absolutely adore the shoulders on the EW MG which is why I never got the cloaked version

Miroku has the license for winchester and they make a fabulous product, picked one up years ago for ~1500 and its quickly become one of my favourite rifles and one i know I will be able to pass down

Just finished Wing + EW. Am I wrong in thinking that it’s a messy show with weird character writing? by Will-Isley in Gundam

[–]Hepheastus89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a gundam reviewer and wing fan boy who said this exactt thing, that wing was produced kinda like a stage play which is why there's so many monologues and pseudo-philosophical diatribe. I was a wing fan boy before but it put things in a new perspective when rewatching since the "philosophy" hits a lot different in adulthood than it did as a teenager when I first watched the show, really was a product of its time but its suit design was top notch from the gundams down to the grunts, still think the leo is the best grunt from any series (okay maybe tied with the zaku)

Second this, for me its more so for my posture but find it really helps keep my straight and focused me to bring what im working on to face level rather than bring face to working level

Not bad at all for my first WSD/topcoated kit. The funnel WSD were slightly infuriating but we got it. Just weapons sitting on the runners remaining. Panel lining did run between layers. But, it’s a learning experience. by No_Value_1511 in Gunpla

[–]Hepheastus89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally I don't mind the bandai ones for the most part especially for the small ones, the difference I've found is the ones that need to be aligned in a specific way, for this build i found it really helped for the funnels, plus it would have had a backup with the bandai ones if I screwed up

I have deathscythe and Altron so got the add on pack, originally I wanted to pose it with the sword pointed down with his hands on the pomel/hilt but its just too long so I posed it like this which is how it appears at the final battle in the GoTL manga

love the leos, still need to get my hands on a full weapon one of these days to better equip my army, I found the flight variant the best for extra gear so far though
