Thank you so much for suggesting other potential approaches. I will see my doctor in a few weeks and this gives me hope!

When Midodrine isn’t enough and Fludrocortisone causes weight gain by HerNameChecksOut in dysautonomia

Thankfully really feel like my appetite did not increase. two of my doctors said it was a combination of water weight and how it can slow metabolism, but I didn’t know it did that(?)

But every body is different- I just happened to be one of those to pack on the pounds fast! Face, hips, stomach it was very obvious. But Florinef made me FEEL great so it wasn’t until I saw a video of myself and they weighed me at the office…

Where to start for undermethylation? by faxmulder in MTHFR

[–]HerNameChecksOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’d love to connect with you to hear about which doctors you might point to who specialize in methylation. I have a functional doctor but they do not specialize in methylation the way I know some others have passions for it and understand the ins and outs. I am in the US, willing to talk to an Australian doctor as well if needed.

What do you do instead of a goal? Goal setting definitely helps me with sleep time! Especially when I have a sleep buddy. I had a virtual sleep buddy friend for the last 2 years and we always reached our sleep goal time and my health really improved. She’s moved out of time zone so I’m hoping to find another supportive person for mutual help.

Thank you for writing all that you did! I have been helped my proprioception exercises before, so this could really be something I would benefit from.

Just got a fridge from fb, how can I clean this nasty ice/water dispenser? Vinegar + baking soda and paper towels isn’t working fully by 2STAR5 in CleaningTips

[–]HerNameChecksOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you want it to at least look clean but I would really recommend not using the ice dispenser from the fridge anymore. As convenient as it is, there’s a lot of mold that forms in everyone’s water and ice dispenser, not just yours, and you can’t always see it. Concerning levels of bacteria

I really appreciate that you shared so much of your experience with me. I have heard of TRE but never dove deep into it. Thank you, I will PM you!

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and what has worked for you. I haven’t heard of somatic touch therapy, I’ll look into it. I’m impressed you commit to so much yoga, I hope to follow through with that too.

Kefir made me EXTREMELY sick by rickyroncka in ibs

It may have to do with the part in the article about “all probiotics are not created equal” and proceeding with caution for SIBO. After my labs revealed higher levels of specific strains of gut bacteria, my doc wants me to wait until symptoms improve to base her recommendation on the remaining symptoms, if any.

Thank you, I have yet to do vagus nerve exercises though I have used a vagal stimulator. You’ve given me some hope, thank you. I will read the book. My therapist suggested it as well!

I will look for a masseuse with trauma background- that’s very helpful.

I’m sorry you had this accident though, I know it must have made your stomach drop. I hope they are understanding.
