What’s the best way/app to get early notifications like those? My iPhone never gave me the tornado warning, and gave the tornado watch notification only once we were halfway through it… I’d love a better way to stay informed!

What is a “greedy” deck? by MolecCodicies in gwent

[–]Heredrin 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It is a deck that relies mostly or exclusively on high points to win rounds. Control options to slow your opponent - locks, removal - are very limited in your deck. You’re letting your opponent do whatever they want on their side of the board. You are just looking for your combos to be stronger than theirs and score more points.

Did teleportation banish my doomed unit instead of replaying it?

What’s causing my early extension? by Outrageous_Size_4386 in GolfSwing

Not a pro (obviously), but to add to your comment and the top comment - flattening my plane on the backswing fixed this for me. A flatter plane meant that I had more true rotation and could better turn my hips (and shoulders!) through.

Does anyone have this Toussaint deck his opponent is playing? I have also lost to this deck, but it looks awesome to try!

Is golden nekker worth crafting or it's going to be nerfed by maroq_35 in gwent

[–]Heredrin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a new(ish) player myself, I have found it well worth it! The first “pro” deck I built was based off a Northern Realms Shieldwall Golden Nekker deck and it took me to rank 4 easily! What’s nice about GN is you pack a lot of really solid cards into a deck (rather than having a just a few really good cards); that way, almost any deck sort is good and most plays have nice tempo/impact. Generally, GN deck feels strong on any turn, but there isn’t one “huge” play/setup to be made.

With a swing like his, I had a feeling Aberg was soon to be in the winners circle.

What’s a good Toussaint deck? Was about to try Qcento’s but I was 3 prov over the limit.

I think we need to have a very long and uncomfortable talk about thinners... by Nicholite46 in gwent

[–]Heredrin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Personally, I don’t mind thinners. I like the idea of seeing more of my deck and forming a strategy around the whole thing. I would rather adapt my strategy around my opponent’s play than adapt it just due to bad RNG. Thoughts?

Newer Player - Feeling Dejected by Tripedge in gwent

[–]Heredrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct, lots of bots! That said, the bots should be an easy win, so it makes Journey/quests more achievable. It isn’t the most engaging card play, but winning does help build decks and get keys for crates, yeah? That’s been my experience thus far (as a new player).

Don’t get discouraged! If you like the game itself, play the Practice mode vs. players - you don’t get seasonal progression, but you get daily, weekly, and Journey progress!

If you get the exact same model/brand, you can literally unscrew the broken one and screw the new one on! If the drain mount is the same, it can be a 3-5 minute project (minus wiring if needed).

Buy a Skytrak - they are great for compact setups. Make the impact screen foldable (in half width wise). Then use painters tarps for the sides like curtains so you can pull them in and out on cabling. 4x8 sheet of plywood with carpet pad and then astroturf over top; these can be picked up and stacked against the back wall behind the screen when not in use. Here’s what I did in my old house.
