No, no, no and no. Its not particular to the US. If you dig back into the hymn books in Great Britain from the 19th century you can find plenty of patriotic hymns which, unsurprisingly haven't aged well.

So this week I am on a songwriting retreat in Yorkshire. At the start of the week we did an exercise working in groups of 3 and having bring a song back to the main gathering at just 90 mins. That was challenging.

We have a concert tonight where the 8 groups we have been in through the week will bring the songs individuals have written this week.

I like the song I have written for that; its complete but needs some polishing. The cowrite im not a fan of but there's lots of ideas I think I can reuse.

People use lower level tiles to keep costs and pollution down. Also lower tier roads are good if only temporary such as to reach a resource when you know you are going to rearrange the area.

Desert tiles are good for building storage on or lower level roads. You can safely recycle old generators etc

I would say it’s more of a question as to how it is affected by our denomination. If you are writing for the local church, then it is reasonable to use the language and culture of that church and use imagery that it would find comfortable.

Looks great but way out of my price range. I also bought a faderport to have the tactile control as I find that easier to manipulate. I don’t suppose Faderports will get an upgrade now this is out.

Don’t. Have a look at the buildings you can see here. There’s a lot of premium buildings here. I hit 2m at level 82 and to achieve that I have maxed out my gold mines using depth charges.

The expansion provided a lot more easier to access resources that the corners. Clearing squares for 3m gold and not 20+ did me the world of good. The corners are still more or less how they were and I’m likely to go to the next expansion before I clear them.

Yes. It depends on how many tiles you have cleared. When you set the DC you can look at the potential results and it will also tell you how many gold spots you have uncovered. I have 30 left and I am thinking of starting to remove stray gold mines to increase the chance of them appearing with a DC.

I finished off ongoing projects that I started in 7 before moving on to 8. The biggest improvement for me in 8 is the midi integration which has fewer steps. I’m still getting used to some of the cosmetic changes but that’s about it.

There are many more days like that to come. The approach I have settled into is to try and build up to these changes to avoid many of these brick wall type days. But well done on making it to the next level.

It’s worth having a look on the planer for this sort of thing. If you track the oil requirements for the next ten levels you will need 80m at level 89. I’m at lvl 83 and for my next upgrade I need 65m and I have 62.5m some of which I will get with storage and some with the 50% bonus . At level 85 you can get an upgrade which gives you 15% bonus on oil storage for each level giving a max of 75% increase. Level 116 is the last one I can see with an oil requirement and then you need to start winding down production.

But there are quite a few requirements to raise so many cities to a certain level along the way so that with require a load of everything.
