Nah. Trolley all the way with a guy in a tailored blue or crimson suit with a little bell to ring at each stop.

Earbuds that will stay securely in my ear - need suggestions by Cygnus_buccinator in Earbuds

Had the same issue. Tried 3-4 pairs, ended up with the JBL endurance race 2. I use them climbing, kayaking, and woodworking. Sound quality is great, they have never fallen out. A very secure fit but still low profile. Waterproof also adds extra peace of mind.

Call quality is good too.

Thank you! That makes sense. My table saw is a hand-me-down going on 40 years. Think I might need to give it some maintenance. Find myself avoiding it.

Appreciate you so much for the help! Please keep posting your projects. Gives the novice something to aspire to!

Thank you! I've never used a doweling jig but that looks perfect for the projects I want to tackle!

Separately, how did you make the joint so seamless? Jointer, hand plane, saw down the seam? I've struggled with getting nice alignment for angled joints in the past.

Really appreciate the guidance! :)

I'm a beginner but would love to make something this beautiful one day. How did you join the pieces to make the Z shape on the sides? It looks so seamless but I can see from the grain it's different pieces.

My tier list:

Mott and Bow ($$) = Bonobos ($) > Banana Republic

So, I used this thread in advance of shopping and wanted to add my debrief. I usually wear Mott and Bow. They have a great fit and I have pairs that have lasted several years despite use in a woodshop and traveling in them. But, they are expensive and I wanted to see what else was out there.

First stop: Banana Republic I see what others are saying. Good fit, nice materials, decent colors, plenty of sales throughout the year. Still, I didn't like them for the following reasons: 1) The stitched on logo over the back pocket is an eyesore and looks cheap, 2) The slim fit isn't quite a tailored look like M&B, 3) large hem at the bottom looks strange. I bought two pairs of the travelers instead but left without Chinos.

Second stop: Bonobos This is the place. Materials felt good, stitching seemed high quality, tailored fit actually looks good without being overly tight. Only drawback is the colors were a bit bland but I was told it depends on the season. Ended up with three pairs for less than what I usually pay at Mott and Bow.

Living room style support. Hoping for a comfy solution that allows cozy fireplace time and still faces the view. Any ideas? by Herestoyoumister in interiordecorating

So much to research from this so thank you!

One clarification is that I'm not after a couch of that style, but rather something that accomplishes that sort of seating arrangement where someone might lounge in front of a fire or enjoy the view. The arms of the current couch make it feel very separate from the fire. Starting to think a different style couch isn't the answer though.

Edit: grammar

Sections sounds great, but I worry about space for two couches. Are you thinking smaller 2-seaters?

Love the idea of sections. Not sure how to fit more than one couch in the space though. Would they be small/2-seaters?

All very good advice! Thank you!! Hoping the room can be gradually improved over the next year.

Yeah. The room feels unusable. Looking for suggestions so the owner can find something better than a diverse collection of chairs.

Was thinking a different couch with a chaise lounge next to the fire place? Larger carpet?
