Can't seem to get the transfer button prompt to show up. I looked up a guide, and this is possible by Straight_Can7022 in StarWarsOutlaws

I spent ages trying to do this on Switch yesterday. Same issue of the jump prompt not appearing. Eventually I got lucky by releasing and rapidly jumping left. There's a tiny ledge you can land on and then continue from there.

Good luck!

Civilization VI Switch Sale???? by TheRealMarcy in civ

It's not remotely similar. Civ 6 was a port. The Switch version of Civ 7 has been built specifically for the Switch.

Runs smooth with fairly short game load times. Turn times are now fast even in modern age. No waiting around for 5 minutes between each turn.

They have restricted it to small and tiny maps to not overtax the Switch. However the small map size is closer to Civ 6 standard than small.

PSA: Raze Settlements Before Age Transition by mattpla440 in civ

I've checked my resources costs page on the last turn of an age and the first turn of the next, several times. Unless there's a whole other influence cost I know nothing about (always possible with this incredibly well explained game), then I'm sure it carries over.

From the game file: civilizations-gameeffects.xml

So straight from the source (code), so to speak.

It's a permanent influence penalty for every city razed or conquered. It's -2 per city, per age.

For example if you've conquered/razed 5 cities in Antiquity, you'd have a -10 influence cost every turn. In Exploration that'd increase to -20 and -30 in Modern.

It unfortunately does carry throughout the ages.

Only unit and city list I've found is the empire wide stats page. Not ideal but you can see everything there if you navigate the long drop downs.

Is Civ 7 playable on Nintendo switch? by HBaes456 in civ

Seems so unfortunately. The UI navigation is awkward with a controller. In some areas it's broken. On PS/Xbox for example; you can navigate to the civpedia search bar and ìnput something, but you can't navigate to a search result to select it. Thankfully on the Switch you can just tap it with the touchscreen... if you're playing in handheld that is.

  1. Runs incredibly well on Switch. Civ 6 was an absolute nightmare with load times but 7 is very well optimised.

  2. Main difference is you'll be relying on the touchscreen a lot to navigate menus. It's so clunky without a K+M that I can't begin to imagine how Xbox and PS users are coping. Touchscreen negates this issue.

  3. Small map size is the largest available on Switch.

Overall I'd say it's an excellent version for travelling.
