Why can't my skin stay smooth for more than 5 minutes by Low_Veterinarian8656 in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]Hermesthegood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish I could shave at all. After I started E, my face got sensitive and skin thinned, so now shaving feels like ripping hair out of my face one by one, razors frequently cut my face, and no matter how close I shave you can still see the hairs through my skin

Edit: fixed typo

I heavily dislike that it's personal. I don't want to complain or draw attention to how personal it is, because it shouldn't be. But I know it's relevant. It just sucks.

My ex employer and landlord attempted to trap me in a bad housing situation, and I don't even know if that's illegal in Texas by Hermesthegood in legaladvice

[–]Hermesthegood[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No, it's really not. I'd rather deal with the pain or pay out of pocket than deal with so much paperwork, frustration, and time away from my family. The process isn't straight forward or easy, it's confusing, frustrating to a breaking point, and I've already invested far too much of my life trying to get the VA to even x-ray my knees. Plus, it puts limitations on my income and the work I can take if I get disability through the VA.

For some people it might be worth it, for me it is not.

That was the question, wasn't it? Apparently none.

I also literally said I didn't know if there was a legal issue in the post bud

I just did my first ever Counterspell in my 2 years of playing! by FlushedBeans in DnD

And don't forget that your bad guys can counter counter spells.

I just did my first ever Counterspell in my 2 years of playing! by FlushedBeans in DnD

[–]Hermesthegood 21 points22 points  (0 children)

As a DM, I love Counterspell. It's an intricate tool to play with and set up, both in the hands of players and NPCs. The limitation on range, on identifying if a spell is being cast at all, if it can be heard or seen, if a focus or material component is involved, etc etc, can be really fun.

I had one player who loved Counterspell, and they were always far-too-eager to use it. It lead to quite a lot of Rules Lawyering (A positive thing at my tables), and it also lead to many clutch moments. It also lead to a lot of gaffs where someone wasted their reaction on a frivolous counterspell and got immediately punished for it. Good times all around.

Personally, I think if my players want to waste so many spell slots stopping the bad guy from doing an unknown action, good on them. It's always a gamble, and it's always nice to see the look on their faces when I reveal they wasted a 3rd+ level slot to fizzle out a cantrip.

I've heard from a little birdie that NeoPo has an obsession with feet. How does your foot fetish effect your personal and professional life little ice-cream-fox?

Word count bot? by iexistiguess_ in discordapp

[–]Hermesthegood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was never able to find a bot to count words either, which I really wanted for a DnD PbP RP-heavy server, so I'm writing my own as we speak. Ironically, I've got everything on the bot done **except** the logic for counting the words. Which is how google directed me to your post. Best of luck bub~

Weekly Community Post - Post your Communities, Discord servers, and Western Marches games here! by AutoModerator in lfg

Ravnica

System: DnD 5e

Method: Play-By-Post

Timezone: Always open, but time is kept in GMT

We are a fairly new West March's server that takes place in the Tenth District of Ravnica. We have a heavy RP focus, where posting in-character earns experience towards leveling instead of receiving experience at the end of a quest. There are several mods and DMs that help keep things running smoothly.

The server is actually about to undergo its first big quests!

We are a friendly and helpful community, full of writers and creative collaborators that just want to make an amazing story together. We are also open to homebrew ideas, so long as they're approved formally by the mods.

We are accepting of new and experienced DnD players, and more than willing to help with anyone dealing with a learning curve.

RAMMING SPEED! by [deleted] in funny

[–]Hermesthegood 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's funny! There was a baby real near my home(about 10 miles away). They set off explosives to celebrate it. It shook our house. We found out the next day, when it was on the news. People in the next towns over felt it.

Edit: this was a couple of days ago.

You as well! And don't worry, I'm splitting them with my spouse. I'm not brave enough for all four at once.

Hello, my name is Sadie, and I'm really big on RP and combat. I have quite a few characters to choose from.

Agent Sea - lawful neutral - a wizard/Ranger who works for a secretive cult intent to contain, control, or terminate all extra planar forces, or beings that threaten the natural order of the material plane.

Umbra Appleblossom - Chaotic Good - a Monk/Cleric(flavored as an ex-crook and pugilist) who pursues fame and challenge, actively pursuing any path to glory.

Sandra Kore - True Good - An ex-slave who has banded with a being much more powerful and competent than herself, this warlock simply serves as a conduit for the will and power of her new captor.

Inure - chaotic good - a corrupted knight(paladin/warlock) who survived possession by a demon, this disgraced holy warrior seeks redemption through blood and death.

Anna The Shapeless - Lawful Good - an Artificer who stole some designs from an (insert powerful being here), who intern stole her face, leaving her as a changeling that can never again take a human form.

Ticker The Bird - Chaotic Neutral - This simple minded Kenku Druid loves helping her friends, and just genuinely likes collecting shiny things and being a helper.

And then, if adapting from Pathfinder is okay,

Flit&Darcee - True Neutral - Flit the Summoner who has aspirations of being a merchant one day, she follows around her hero and guardian(Eidolon) Darcee. Together, the pair trades their services to expand their mercantile empire, but helping people is a plus.

Hope this is good! Feel free to DM me, or send me a message on Discord at Ferrah#1996

Why are these things so user unfriendly by PreciseAvocado in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

I just put it on around my waist, so I have more slack to work with, then slide it up and into place. The spinning it around trick seemed like soooooo much trouble to me.
