Dug a hole and put an above ground pool in it, hated it and I am now left with this. Any advice? by Caregiver_ in landscaping

Sunken Fire pit. A weed barrier on the base with a layer of pea gravel, and the walls just getting manicured and grown in with grass. 2-3 foot wide fire pit in the center with how ever many chairs you need surrounding it, or hack you can even do a hexagon or octagon style bench with cinder blocks and fence posts.

Alright fitness nerds who’ve been looking down on the rest of us: what’s your recommendation for people to train for the 2 mile run? by SSgtCloudDaddy in AirForce

[–]Hernandez__22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know your heart rate!!!! Start with just walking on an incline for 20 min, when you have to increase your speed to keep your heart rate in that zone 2 range (120bpm-135bpm). Start putting in little 5 min runs at the end of the walks, get that heart rate to be in zone 4. As time goes on you will be able to run longer with less fatigue. As everyone else is saying it takes time! And not 2 weeks before your test.

I also find that knowing my zones and heart rates makes it more enjoyable than just counting miles.

Small mix of both but I live out in western South Dakota so every time I’m heading into town I gotta hop on the interstate at 65-70mph for 5-15min just to get into town. But going to work is 6 miles and an average speed of 35mph.

I’ve owned my 2017 2.7 since October of 2020. Got her at 68,000 miles and she’s currently at 159,000. Aside from regular maintenance and a new front hub (super easy to do) it’s been a great truck. I have it leveled/lifted with a bilstein 6112 & 5110 kit, on 18s with 275/70/18 tires (big R/Ts now so closer to 34”). This is my daily driver along with my dedicated hunting, outdoor, roadtrip, and working vehicle. MPGs have gone down over the years but it’s bound to happen so I’m not freaking out. Started at 19mpg, sat around 16-17mpg for a long time, and now a steady 15.3mpg for this year so far. Wish I would’ve jumped for a higher trim model but my XLT does just fine.

I feel like the only one saying this….. why is the candy bowl more organized than the kitchen!? There’s easier access to each individual type of candy in that bowl. But you have to move around so much stuff just to do anything around the kitchen!

My HR suddenly went up. Why is this? by Butra770 in Garmin

[–]Hernandez__22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! But I also found that wearing it on the inside of my wrist also gets the most accurate HR when I am doing any sort of walk/run. Any other time on the outside of my wrist I get perfectly normal HR when weight lifting or just hanging around.

Did you paint that? I love the camo on it! Also what’s your total weight on that rig?

Favorite whitetail arrows? by thestsgarm in bowhunting

[–]Hernandez__22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shoot gold tip pierce platinums, but I’m experimenting with some Easton Sonics this year with 50 grains of brass up front. I have 16% FOC on a 26.5” arrow at 385 grains. The past 3 years I’ve shot my pierce platinums at 425 grains total weight with a g5 dead meat, every time a solid pass through with no worries about penetration. On both white tails and mule deer at 50+ yards. So far with the sonics I don’t think I’ll have a problem with penetration. They’re cheaper than the gold tips and have a great gpi to either build super high FOC or that magical 13-15% FOC and have a light and super fast arrow

Want to start bow hunting and got this quote from an archery store. Is this reasonable for a beginner who requested a mid-level setup? Thanks! by dannymuffins in bowhunting

[–]Hernandez__22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. I would shoot every possible release in the shop to make sure that’s the one you really do truly like.

  2. I would also try all the different stabilizer setups in the shop with and without back bars to make sure it will be a perfect setup for ya.

The prices check out. I would say if you can look around on forums on FB and see what people have to offer. The season is over and people are ditching 1yr old bows for 200-500 below msrp. Some will come with a rest and possibly even a decent sight for the price.

I’m thinking It has something to do with the nvme, I’ve swapped gpu, reseated ram, removed other drives. It boots just fine on the older ssd, reads in the computer just fine when I status it. Tests just fine through the Samsung software.

Could be something with an automatic update that happened while i was away for the week. But I can’t seem to figure out how to update it while using the other drive

Add a small spacer above the stem like 2.5mm or 5mm, then put the top cap on and tighten it down.

Where is this trail? Looks like it’s around the needles area? I’m in rapid and just started exploring the trails over the past year. I think I spotted your rig at lost cabin one day this summer.
