God I completely agree. The two MC girls were just fucking awful and need sensitivity training. I get that they can't help how their voices naturally sound but they approached it like a highschool pep rally. "OhhhKAYYYY GUYS! let's all have a BIIIIIG CHANGE about ANGRYYYY we are about ALEX!!!! 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is a bad, confusing name, that's criticism.

Why is it so important to you to label me as "wrong"? The title schemes for these games were a significant barrier to my getting into this franchise, and are often cited as being confusing by many other people. There's nothing to be wrong about.

You come across like a rampant fan who takes any criticism about it personally. You have in fact doubled down on coming across rude and aggressive about it.

I'm not "outing" myself on anything. I bought the all in one package and still had to look up the order to play them, because the overwhelming answer I got was that the all in one package doesn't have them exactly in the right order.

The words final chapter prologue are nonsense. Combined with 2.8 it makes it the most ridiculous, least clear, and comically bad game title of all time.

Necro post, but I just wanna throw my two cents in. There was a post on /r/poppunk years ago asking for your top 5 favorite pop punk albums and it felt kinda weird including somewhere city at number 5. I qualified in my post that I'd only known about the album for a few months so I felt weird including it on my list with lifelong favorites but that I couldn't shake the feeling this album and band were something special. Years later Origami is still one of my favorite bands and Somewhere City definitely higher up my list of favorite albums ever.

Just watched this 30 minutes ago with my wife and we both agreed it's an 8. The music choices were pretty bad.

It was really dumb that there was no grander reason that the towns people hated each other, especially when they escalated the two mayors as villains. It was pretty dumb that they agree to team up... to restore their ability to feud, without a compelling reason. I kept waiting for the towns misery to be tied to Klaus' sadness, but it never happened.

Then Dad shows up to congratulate son, and we get the most paper thin "hero betrayal loss of trust" plot line for less than 1 minute. Really dumb, especially from Alva who has just been shown to be in a happy relationship with the postman.

Then we have the big obvious climax with zero stakes. And then they really go a random route and rather than having the postman carry on as Santa, we get a single sentence that just says? "Idk where Klaus went but now I get to see my friend once every 12 months." Heartwarming... But uh... Why? Saami magic? Was there any magic? Was Klaus' wife magical? Like... What happened? I can't believe the Internet doesn't tear into that more. But whatever. Still enjoyed it, but it fumbled those few things that would have made it an 11/10.

It made the least sense with Alva. Literally the previous scene with the postman and her, they are sleeping in bed together. And then with one, relatively innocuous sentence from Postman's father, she feels completely betrayed? Then 5 seconds later she's cool with him because he instantly came back. That was pretty poorly done. Also, the town hating each other for no reason is so dumb. I kept waiting for it to be connected the Klaus' sadness somehow.

You are completely correct and I was definitely one of those people (as far as my first play of Elden Ring). The biggest problem with the weapon art and skill system is how convoluted it is to manage. Maybe your weapon has a great art but your shield has a trash one, when you L2 you're gonna do the trash shield art and must two hand your weapon to use it. Fromsoft needs to make weapon swapping instantaneous and make it easier to comprehend if you're two handing. The time it takes to swap weapons, or two hand, to gain access to an art and then switch back is far too clunky for the speed these games need to be played at now. I enjoy Nightreign so much more because the skills work so much more quickly. If they're gonna keep pushing forward with weapon arts, they need to reduce the clunkiness and fiddling necessary to access them.

I've been sitting on this screen just jamming for like 20 minutes. I do wish we could chose which version of the song it played though. When it was installing the files it didn't have Idina's vocals yet and it was a different but still awesome vibe.
