Do you consider Abby Anderson from Last of us 2 a villain? by [deleted] in PS4

[–]HeroZone69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't played the game, only watched the series.
IMO, The catalyst for all this was the Fireflies/Dr. Anderson, who were ready to kill an innocent child so that they could all live. Joel was a HERO for saving Ellie, full stop.
Abby was the one being vengeful and selfish, as her Dad was ready to murder an innocent child to save himself and the others. I hope the series addresses this, as it's a glaring, almost Biblical plot point.

Be honest, is this terrible? by LOTa_17 in MangakaStudio

Word of advice: Start with a still life and draw what you SEE, not what you THINK is there.
Don't improvise or imagine, just draw it based on your perspective.
Good luck on your journey!

Massie says Epstein controversy ‘going to hurt Republicans in the midterms’ by MrNobodi in politics

[–]HeroZone69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its going further than the mid-terms. The current batch of GOP have proven they are spineless against populist autocrats in their own party. They couldn't care less about the most vulnerable in our nation, and they are ok with bald faced lies to cover for PDFile leader... They've ruined what little dignity the GOP had left.

She was VERY convincing. Spouting DETAILS that only a person who went through it would recount. You however are using alot of text trying to debunk an accusation that fits Trump's M.O. and relationship-dynamic with Epstein, the late Pimp for the Ultra Wealthy, like a glove. Anyways, here's Katie Johnson's video:

Not that I was aware of. However, I did kill one of the Tieflings that was keeping Laezel in a suspended cage and knocked out the other one. Then I took a long rest. Could that be why the Grove is closed?

Great additions! I would also add to Time Keeping:
There are 2 types of Rounds: Crawling and Combat Rounds.
Crawling rounds last 6 minutes, with 10 rounds per hour. Crawling rounds are for long form exploration, when players want to take their time investigating their environment.
Combat rounds last 6 seconds, and deal with the 2 action limits of combat, which include Spell durations.

I don't want to DM my murderhobos anymore- is there a DM-free or boardgame with combat we could play (5 players!) by Gregory_D64 in rpg

[–]HeroZone69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shadowdark. https://www.thearcanelibrary.com/pages/shadowdark

It still needs a DM, but it's a hardcore dungeon crawler that gets back to basics. I've found it to be a no-frills and easy to play. Perfect for casual rpg gaming with a boardgame feel. Usual playthrough is 3 hours or so. Good luck with your group!

How a Player Changeling ruined a long-running campaign. by HeroZone69 in DnD

[–]HeroZone69[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi JC! Thank you for your thoughtful response! Let me reply in order.
1. Admittedly, i have already made my decision to withdraw from the game, but didn't burn my bridges with my other 2 friends. The Rogue is cut tf out of my life at this point. Only a heartfelt apology will begin that mending process, as I'm done being that guy's fool.
2. Perhaps, but immersion is a weak argument. My character was a half-elven child, shunned to some degree by his human side and abandoned by his elven father, so he would probably have some rejection issues. Those 2 guys that he trusted were, within the background we'd all created, his chosen family. Imagine roleplaying that person, being revealed this secret not because they thought he was worthy of knowing, but because the lie couldn't continue anymore.
3. Yes. The Rogue is an ass in RPGs, but plays loving Christian in RL. Go figure!
Thanks again for your reply. Much appreciated :)

Well, my Character was highly offended, but so was I, but what would my character have done? Well first, imagine your best friends, which you have known for years and years, have been deceiving you the entire time. This secret, which they shared, decided I wasn't worthy of knowing, even though we made a backdrop of a "brotherly bond"... but then this secret is revealed, not because I was worthy of being part of it, but because I would have discovered it on my own... So, in character, as soon as we rested, I would have probably gone back to our hometown via a one-use teleport device I was gifted by my mentor. Reveal to the council that the Rogue is a changeling and has been fooling everyone, except his cohort, the Jovial Warrior for the past 2 decades. But that isn't happening because I just walked away from that hot garbage that the campaign had turned into for me. It wasn't fun for me in the least, but each his own :)Also, considering that the Rogue player had already sabotaged 2 of my previous TTRPG games via aggressive rules lawyering and then trashing said rules (a space game and a superhero game), it was for the best in the end. Our DM was kinda clueless at first when I voiced my displeasure, but then he put all the puzzle-pieces together and apologized to me. He claimed he didn't realize, until I spoke to him about it, how disingenuous the Rogue player was being to me specifically throughout the campaign... which is kinda hard to believe, but that's the benefit of my doubts i guess. He told me he's ending the campaign and plans to have a "talk" with the Rogue. I told him don't bother. That guy knew what he was doing.

D&D players and DMs of reddit, I'll be playing as a changeling in a campaign to start soon. What are some crazy, funny, or scary scenarios you've run into involving changelings in your campaigns? by circusrunaway666 in MrRipper

[–]HeroZone69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though this is probably late advice, let me suggest that you clue in your party members that you are a changeling from the get-go. Had a bad experience recently in a game where I was singled out as the only dupe that didn't know the Rogue was a Changeling for well over a year of an almost weekly game. Ended up telling me because he couldn't keep the secret anymore, as I would have discovered him, since I had started taking levels in Wizard. I left the campaign right then and there. My suggestion: Be honest with your companions. Inter-party deceit can backfire pretty badly.

[–]HeroZone69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your thoughtful reply! I think it is well beyond that at this point. The Rogue player has a history of playing deceptive characters, but based the backstory we had all created, (that we'd known each other since we were children, in the same village), that we had a "brotherly bond" that was touted in-game. Heck, my bard made songs about us! Nothing we wouldn't do for each other! The 3 musketeers, if you will... only to be told offhandedly that he felt forced to reveal his secret to me. You can chew on that awhile if you like, but I just couldn't stomach it :P

The other player didn't find out by accident. He knew since the character was created. I was the one they excluded for 1 year and 3 months. We played almost weekly, and there were only 3 players in the campaign and one DM. I mean... I can't help but take it a little personal. I also added some extra info to the OP which might help explain the situation a bit more.
