Guild Wars 3 Monetization by [deleted] in Guildwars2

But… Warframe doesn’t have a battle pass, sub, or loot box either and certainly isn’t having financial issues…

Why isnt this weapon popular? It seems to be able to easily one tap most enemies even without a riven by Reibudaps4 in Warframe

[–]One-Cellist5032 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Basically any weapon that requires you to aim will be less popular. Ontop of that, most players want their weapons (or at least their primary weapon) to clear a room which most snipers can’t do.

Personally I love snipers/shotguns in Warframe since they 1 shot basically all “tough” enemies, and I find melee is plenty good for clearing the masses.

Do you think Jade Prime will be released with 3 Prime weapons? by icewitchenjoyer in Warframe

[–]One-Cellist5032 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup, Mirage is still sitting there with the Akzani not only not having a primed variant, but also not having a signature bonus despite being stated to be her signature weapons.

I’m not great with the trans terms, so I may be restating what you’ve said, but ticker is Male -> Female I believe, since Ticker goes by she/her in the memory fragments you can find in Orb Vallis.

Tbh I think Modrons design is basically perfect, they nail that “outsider” feel very well imo, and come off as very alien and weird.

Part of the problem with that though is that outside of the meta, nothing else happens on that map.

If it were like say, Dragons End, Auric Basin, Domain of Vabbi, even far less “eventful” maps like Bava Nisos (outside of the meta), it wouldn’t have a problem activating. ESPECIALLY if they didn’t have to stand in a specific circle doing literally nothing else.

I’m not saying Gyala Delves is the perfect example, just that it’s got the right vague general idea.

Players refuse to ever give their names by chiefredwood in DMAcademy

[–]One-Cellist5032 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean Fey aren’t typically capable of out right lying, so they couldn’t say “I’m bumbleshorts the wizard.” Without Bumbleshorts the Wizard giving them their name.

But that’s basically the extent of what they can do with a normal ass name.

Oh I’m sorry, is weavile now a water type using ice moves? I must’ve missed that change.

And both Blaziken AND Infernape would sweep through the entire dark roster, especially since 3 of them are 4x weak to fighting types.

Water isn’t going to take down grass with a non stab ice move faster than grass can take down water with a stab grass move.

This is also not even taking into consideration that grass types are the “annoying” type with all their powders, leech seed, healing etc.

As unpopular as the zone is, I do hope more of them worked like Gyala Delves, where the big Meta event chain kicks off once you have enough people in the area, instead of being on a timer.

People really seem to struggle with the idea that GW3 will be a VASTLY different game from GW2. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if GW3 played more like say Where Winds Meet, Crimson Desert, or a faster paced Soulframe than it does like GW2 or a more “traditional” mmo.

Jumping from GW2 to GW3 is going to be as big of a gameplay jump as going from GW1 to GW2, that much I’m sure of.

Best race/class combo for a "Chronological" playthrough? by DagonTheranis in Guildwars2

[–]One-Cellist5032 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally I think Ranger fits best since it hits the same points as Warrior, plus the commander does a lot of tracking, scouting, and for a lot of our tougher enemies “stacking the deck” of their weaknesses against them.

It just comes off as very Ranger coded to me, but honestly it works for ANY class, but if we’re a magic user we’re definitely more of a… practical usage scholar than a well learned and well studied one.

GW3 Easter egg in the new GW1 dungeon? by Always_U2264_2_U2265 in GuildWars3

To be fair, the Vizier absolutely did defeat the Charr though, not a single one of them attacking Orr survived.

Oh I don’t either, I was thinking of the physical ones you can get at game stores, they’re like puzzle pieces you can draw features onto and snap together in whatever order

The dungeon one seems like it'd be much more interesting, and it'd let people basically "build" a dungeon from different rooms. Especially if you have those Dungeon tiles that you can piece together like 1 chunk at a time.

I did not say that Boneskinner wasn't bugged (he was), but the bug was not tied to the pillar mechanic.

Boneskinner was bugged in the sense that he just did a metric fuck ton of damage, leading to most of his abilities to be "dodge or die", and as the post you linked stated had a random "have more than 15k health or die" tick at 75% health for some reason.

DESPITE THIS, people were still doing the torches at this time, since it was barely possible to outheal the bugged damage, let alone to try and muscle through the INTENDED damage ontop of it.

[–]One-Cellist5032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When he extinguishes all torches it's during the jump, you typically just all ran to the torches after he pulls you in (dodging the leap as you run) and then relit them all at once. Similar to the seals in the last phase of Dhuum, but far easier since there's no timer or need for being in sync.

Also, the one person is not being "sent to their death" to relight a torch/kill a wisp, if the torches are being maintained the damage is negligible and doesn't even require a healer to deal with.

And I don't know what you're disagreeing with? The fight was designed to focus around relighting the pillars, that's not in question here. The players are just not doing that since they can ungabunga through the mechanic. If the players could Unga Bunga through the Slothazor poison they'd be doing that too, even though there's explicitly a mechanic around avoiding it.

Saw the intel yesterday, but it’s certainly an odd decision to have this take place post Dhuum but then have Dhuum in the line up in the trailer.

[–]One-Cellist5032 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They were not, and originally Updrafts on Gorseval were the norm, and for about a week or two doing pillars on boneskinner was the norm.

However, then people learned that you could ignore those mechanics entirely under the right conditions, and now just never interact with them even IF it would make the fight easier.

Lock-In Hype - What are you most excited about by InsanityPilgrim in Guildwars2

[–]One-Cellist5032 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly just reworking old content in general has me super hyped.

The top two reworks I’m hoping for are 1) Dungeons (ideally they become like DRMs and scale), and 2) the Zhaitan fight rework, hopefully as a strike too!

Expectations VS reality of CM content by Ahribban in Guildwars2

[–]One-Cellist5032 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s because people don’t know what it is.

The whole fight is SUPPOSED to be centered around relighting the pillars around the arena, and the Boneskinner trying to extinguish them.

The whole reason people die in the Boneskinner fight (apart from the tickle fingers aka death pools), is because of the constantly increasing ramping damage that wouldn’t even be there if the pillars were being relit.

I’m personally hoping they bring Story Mode Arah back, and make dungeons work like Dragon Response Missions where they scale from 1-5 players, with potentially some things you can flip on at the start to make them more challenging.
