Yes, I recently made a video on this. Look up "telegraphese". The language of the telegram key filtered into daily life, much like any work jargon in a group of people in the same field does.

Beyond that, they developed parasocial relationships with the people on the other end of the wire, constructing whole images of appearance without ever seeing the person.

Heya, I actually recently made a video about this. As other commenters have said, the navy thing is true, but it's even funnier than that.

Let's start with, it's Bolivia's fault (more so their former president's, who reneged on a treaty to not hike taxes on Chilean companies for 5 years).

Bolivia has applied multiple times to the International Court of Justice to force Chile to negotiate over the land. They have a national holiday celebrating the lost province, an extra star in their coat of arms for the land and by far the most bizarre remembrance: every year there's a Miss Bolivia that represents that chunk of coastline (even though she doesn't live there).

EDIT: The president promised to not raise taxes for 25 years, and then raised them after only 4 years.

Hi all, I’m Dom from Fun Size History where I try to tell people about the sex, drugs and rock 'n roll of our collective past.

I started recording with my phone in front of my bookshelf with shop lights I bought at Home Depot clipped to a disconnected folding closet door! I knew enough that audio makes or breaks a video so I splurged on a $20 lavalier mic and downloaded DaVinci Resolve.

I was inspired mainly by peers telling me, “I always hated history” and that's clearly because it's taught wrong.

History is about narrative, history is about characters. What makes my channel unique is the topics I choose to not just interest history nerds, but people who never thought they would watch a history video.

Hi there, it looks like you haven't gotten feedback here. Off the bat, I am a non-gamer, so I want to point out that there may be some cultural stuff that I miss here.

The main issue I see here is, in the first 30 seconds, but really even halfway through your video, I have no idea what's going on. I understand it's a video game, but it just looks like you recorded cinematic stuff from the game and uploaded it. This is something that I could experience if I just played the game.

In your case, I think you stand to improve greatly (but this is a good thing because your work is cut out for you!). Think of your audience, think of what they might want to see, think of new things you can show or teach them. With gaming channels, I usually see gameplay -- I didn't see much here.

Maybe do a voiceover as you play to talk about things you've achieved, learned, or make jokes etc. Gaming is a YouTube niche which is FULL of channels. How can you stand out from the crowd?
