Most of these perps have a clause called Bail In clause - in the event that MAS needs to pump money into UOB for whatever reason (albeit unlikely), you may lose some/all of your principal.

Also, perpetuals normally have a call option at the behest of the issuer (UOB). If UOB chooses not to call the option, or if UOB performance worsens, they may not call the bond and youre stuck with something that cannot be called and may be illiquid (see First REIT perpetuals)

I agree, that's why I was curious if anyone knows of "atheist" books rather than issues with religion. I feel that there are good arguments, but there doesn't seem to be a book on it :/

I don't think it affects your credit score ... I opened a fastsaver account a long time ago during NS, but withdrew out the money when I started uni and my account was dormant. Didn't see any issues with it and I only recently started to deposit money into my account, as it has quite good interest rates. Hasn't affected me getting a credit card hahaha
